Bac 2, Cyc 2, Gab 6, Kto 10, Lid 5 Cream
UpdatedHi, I just received this cream from my pain management doctor. I have had 2 LS surgeries for severely sequestered discs, severe radiating pain and peroneal nerve decompression. Continued pain/numbness in my R leg due to radiculopathy.
I take 3000mg of Gralise (gababentin) - Yes, you read correctly! I take 5x the amount of Gralise to decrease the nerve pain in my leg.
Do you think there is hope with this topical cream?

Hi Jennifer,
The cream you're describing containing baclofen + cyclobenzaprine + gabapentin + ketoprofen + lidocaine, is reportedly prescribed as a topical pain reliever.
However medications like this can and often do affect each person differently, whereas it's possible that you may receive more benefits from it than others or vise versa, depending on the severity of your pain/tolerance to pain meds.
I'm not a doctor, but I don't think you need to be one in order to determine that more gabapentin on top of what you're already being prescribed will have a significantly greater impact on pain relief - considering that you have to take 5x the recommended dose to even feel it. From my perspective (and this is just a theory), it sounds like your tolerance to gabapentin is reaching a point where the medication is becoming less effective the longer you use it.
Although, in my opinion based off your description, the other ingredients seem a little more promising in so far as providing pain relief from substances that your body hasn't previously built up a tolerance to.
Does anyone else have thoughts on this?
