Aztor And Platelet Count

Can Aztor 20 lower you platelet count? My platelet count was 281 last week and the only change in my medication was that I have been advised to switch from rose day 10 mg to Aztor 20. My platelet count in a span of 8 to 10 days has dropped to 128. Do Aztor tablets contain Atorvastatin?

Yes, that is the active ingredient in them, and yes, it has been known to cause this as a side effect, according to NIH reports. You may also experience nausea, dizziness, headache, and joint/muscle aches.
