I use Mitchum gel and using it first then apply Axiron. It becomes like a glue. Trying Axiron first then apply mitchum worked better. I use a mini fan to aid in drying, but still an issue. What is the best deodorant to use with Axiron?

Does it matter when u apply Axiron just as long as it's at the same time every day? It's easier for me to use it at night but I want to know if it's not a good idea, otherwise I will switch?

I use an alum deodorant stone. It really works well if you don't need an anti-perspirant. Just wet it, apply and zero residue to mix with the Axiron.

I use Menna Speed Stick deodorant in the morning. I know the instructions say to apply deodorant first the Axiron about 3 minutes later. I do not think the Axiron would absorb through the deodorant. This is the only deodorant that works for me. I sweat under the arms quite a bit. How long after I apply the Axiron can I then apply my deodorant? Would an hour be fine?

Yes, I am having a similar experience. Initially I felt great, but then it felt like I got used to it, and am back where I started. Not completely, but as far as mood is concerned, i'm not doing as well as the first 15 days. The libido improvements have not disappeared, but has leveled out. I've had my blood work, and everything is apparently right. I'd say it's something else in our lives that needs attention. I'm focusing on eating better, and drinking less alcohol. I know I should exercise more too.

Wow...you have got to be kidding. All people sweat under their arms...and in public in a crowded situation.. using no deoderant is not an option. You probably can't smell yours because your nose has tuned it out - but I guarantee everyone around you thinks your armpits stink...lol

I just started using Axiron about a week ago. I put it on first at night before bed,when I get up I put on my gel deodorant when I get up & no caking or glue like stuff

I started using right guard spray because of the mess that my gel deodorant made after the application. It has been working fine so far.

I did the injection therapy before switching to Axiron. The reason I switched was because my doctor preferred I inject in the upper buttock area which was a little difficult to do myself. I also had issues with the testosterone exiting the injection area -- this may have been due to the testosterone being quite thick and easily injected. The other reason was because I had a constant issue with the pharmacy not giving me the correct syringes (one size to draw the testosterone, and a smaller size for injection).

Deodorant is only needed if you sweat under the arms, and really not many people actually do. More people sweat between the legs but you never hear of them using deodorant there. Deodorant manufacturers use marketing to sell their products extremely well, I have never used deodorant, no need to, a little baby powder is just as good.
Try using Axiron under the arms and if you need a deodorant, to make you smell better, run the roll-on down you chest or use an after shave.

Sir, I use Axiron. But in response to your question, I use Arrid xx regular. Apply the Axiron let dry and a couple of swipes of my Arrid xx, No problem at all. No caking.
It woks great.

I've been taking Axiron for about a month. I just found out I have to take a urinalisys that will test for anabolic steroids among other things. Will Axiron cause me to fail this test?

I was prescribed Axiron for Low T and have been using it every day as prescribed for 30 days now. I have noticed some very positive side effects, such as more energy and increased sex drive. Unfortunately, however, the effects are not all positive. I've been experiencing "peaks and valleys" in the effects of Axiron. Everything I have read about this medication states that the desired results will be noticeable, and the effects will plateau (even out) in approx. 15 days. After 31 days using Axiron, I am still having severe ups and downs--most noticeably with my moods and temper. (I have increased road rage, but on the plus side, I don't cry as much during sex. Lol.) All joking aside, if anyone else has had similar experiences with Axiron treatment, I would really like to hear from you. I would also like to know the pros and cons of using Axiron vs. testosterone injection therapy.

I use old spice deoderant not the antiperpirant deoderant. I use a hair dryer to dry the deoderant then apply axiron. No problems with stickiness.

I'm sorry, but there aren't really an recommendations made, they just not that the use of deodorant shouldn't interfere with it's absorption.

I really think it may just be a matter of trial and error, to see what works well, without leaving you a gooey mess.

Have you tried asking a pharmacist for recommendations? They may have some ideas from other users.
