I was prescribed Axiron for Low T and have been using it every day as prescribed for 30 days now. I have noticed some very positive side effects, such as more energy and increased sex drive. Unfortunately, however, the effects are not all positive. I've been experiencing "peaks and valleys" in the effects of Axiron. Everything I have read about this medication states that the desired results will be noticeable, and the effects will plateau (even out) in approx. 15 days. After 31 days using Axiron, I am still having severe ups and downs--most noticeably with my moods and temper. (I have increased road rage, but on the plus side, I don't cry as much during sex. Lol.) All joking aside, if anyone else has had similar experiences with Axiron treatment, I would really like to hear from you. I would also like to know the pros and cons of using Axiron vs. testosterone injection therapy.

I have been taking Axiron for about 2 months now and the most significant side effect I have noticed is about a 25 to 30 pound weight gain in that brief period. My eating did not increase and my exercise routine stayed the same. What would cause this dramatic weight gain? I am thinking of discontinuing as the additional weight (increase from 230 to 260) gain may be worse than low testosterone.

I took Axiron for one month and experienced several serious side effects, including:
1. Seriously swollen legs and ankles
2. Swollen hands
3. 25 pound weight gain
4. Sleeping and breathing problems when laying down to sleep.

I have been using Axiron now for 2 months, after about 5 weeks of depo injections. I do have increased energy, and sex drive, but I also am experiencing bouts of rage. I have lost it a few times now, and even smacked my daughter in the face. (I have never lifted a finger to my kids before) I experience weird "electric shocks" some days, where it feels like someone is electrocuting me from the inside out. Also, have felt like crying for no reason at all... I had none of this with the depo, and will probably ask the dr to switch back to those injections.

Thank you for the links I havew already checked these out. I have talked to my Dr. but he has never prescribed it before --- I was the first -- we live in a small town. But any info i get is great. as far as deorderant I have had to put on my med at least a half hour before applying my gel sport deorderant. that seems to work ok. i think i may look into the shots as they don't havw as many peaks and valleys -- so i hear. thank you again.
