Axiron Side Effects (Page 2)

I was prescribed Axiron for Low T and have been using it every day as prescribed for 30 days now. I have noticed some very positive side effects, such as more energy and increased sex drive. Unfortunately, however, the effects are not all positive. I've been experiencing "peaks and valleys" in the effects of Axiron. Everything I have read about this medication states that the desired results will be noticeable, and the effects will plateau (even out) in approx. 15 days. After 31 days using Axiron, I am still having severe ups and downs--most noticeably with my moods and temper. (I have increased road rage, but on the plus side, I don't cry as much during sex. Lol.) All joking aside, if anyone else has had similar experiences with Axiron treatment, I would really like to hear from you. I would also like to know the pros and cons of using Axiron vs. testosterone injection therapy.

Have been on Axiron for 8 weeks now. My endo put me on 60 mg or two pumps per day. My starting testosterone level was 179. I have not re-checked it yet, but I am able to work out regurarly and recover quickly. I am 52 years old and I finally feel like I did when I was younger. Sex life has improved, but not as much as hoped. However, I can honestly say that It has changed my life profoundly, for the better. No acne, no weight gain, no adverse side effects. Just a regular exercise routine and fantastic results. Thank you Axiron, I am truly greatful for your existence!!

Hi there I too went from 169lbs to 185lbs in less than 2 months. I gained 10lbs quickly with in the first 2 weeks. I don't know if it is muscle mass, fat, or water retention...?? I am 5 foot 9 and work in the trades so I am fairly active. My energy levels are all over the map. Some morning hi's for a few days then all of a sudden I cant stay awake in the afternoon the next week for a brief few days, then followed by dragging my ass in the morning falling asleep in my truck before work for a quick nap.

Ive been using Axiron for three months and had so much engery!! I felt like I was a teenager again. and then it was like over night my engery was gone!! I went back in to the doctor and had my blood work again and they said my testosterone went from 87.0 low To 540 high witch is normal and still rising!! But now even so my Testosterone is high you would think I would have all this energy like i had the first three months, But I don't Im tired all the time. Im worse now than i was before i started using it!! And they said my thyroid is normal!! Does anybody know if this is some kind of side effect? Because I've been really tired and no energy for three weeks now and I'm still using the Axiron!!

I am 60, been on Axiron on for about 4 years now, have had nothing but success with this medicine. 1 pump daily, I contribute my 50 lb weight loss to this medicine by giving me the energy to get on a treadmill every day, of course eating right helped a lot. Now the bad side, my doctor has taken me off it due to my body is now creating enough T that I need to stop for 6 months!! Been two weeks and my joints ache, and I am very lackluster. Does anyone know will this go away at some point?

Axiron and Andro gel have been horrible for me.
53 year old and has caused unbearable hot flashes and flushing.
Swelling of legs, feet, ankles and hands.
