Is it safe to take avil every day? does it have any side effect. i am suffering from skin allergy since childhood. now i am 21 yrs old . some potions of my skin swells up and itches. usually it happens on hands and legs. it happens generally during night.

i take avil injection for chronic urticaria due to depression. red elivated areas appears on my arms and legs, my lips swell at night while iam asleep. i take pheneramine meleate for 4 years, now i think iam addicted to it, now iam concern about my health.

hello.. my sister took 9 tablets of avil 25 mg..her age is 18 years.. we come to know after 3 hours... we also consulted a doctor he advised to take full of water..my dout here wheather it leads to any other health issues in future and is any further treatment required to be taken now.... pls kindly answer my question

i too suffering on allergy on skin from one month...i just stoped th e avil and ,,,started using cetrizine ...is thrhe any problem...the allergy uis does not stoping anyway...

Hi,
5 months ago, i was injected DMS (Avil) since i was suffering from allergic bronchitis. After 23 days of taking the shot it developed swelling at the injected area and was very painful. When i consulted the Doctor after examination expressed that the medicine is not absorbed and had given me ciplox tablets ,a pain relief cream which reduced the pain but since then it has developed a little hard tissue(mass) at the back and sometimes is a bit painful. Does it have to be removed through surgery or is there a medicine that could be injected into the affected area. Please suggest?

Dear Doctor,
Im 28 years old, Whenever the weather gets hot my body gets heavy and my bodyskin gets little dark and my face skin gets itchy on few spots and gets red this all continues till get avil injection and after that my body feel light and my skin start glowing. please tell me what is that and does avil injection have any side effect if I get one in 6 months?

i had fever with swelling and redness of face and the doctor in the nearby hospital gave a high dose of Avil injection. i recovered but after a few months i started having asthma attacks which had never happened earlier in my life.i visted many doctors but none could cure me. they said i may have allergic manifestation. I never had any form of asthmatic problem. Is this any way related to supression of allergy by Avil? Why is asthma happening all of a sudden?

Please check your bed for any allergic material or any infestation of bed bugs, mosquito etc. I am more inclined towards bed material if does not sound like bite.

It is generally not normal for an allergy to only occur at night. Have you seen a doctor for this and had any tests performed?

Most actual allergies will occur all the time, at any time of day, due to your bodies histamine response to something you are allergic to.

In many cases, when it occurs only on the hands, feet and/or legs, at night, it is due to a problem with circulation, so it is very important to consult a doctor to rule this out or get treatment if that is what's causing it.

And all medications carry the risk of side effects.

Avil contains the antihistamine Pheniramine, it can cause: nausea, severe drowsiness and dry mouth.

In addition, regular use of it has been known to cause Bradycardia, in some people, so if you notice anything unusual with your heart rate, then you should seek medical attention immediately.
