Aurobindo - Metformin Fishy Smell

Aurobindo - SHUT THEY DOWN! When a manufacturer changes we should be notified. After all, it is our money going to these companies. I opened my Metformin and noticed the shape and the SMELL was unbelievable - FISH SMELL. I will only accept meds from TEVA. How do they get away with this? I called the pharmacy and they were not very concerned. I'm going to inform everyone I know (family, friends, church members, EVERYONE) about this manufacturer.

However, Metformin always has an odd smell, the difference is that some companies use an outer coating to keep you from smelling it, but I can assure you that it is completely normal, which is why your pharmacy wasn't concerned.

The FDA lists the typical side effects of this medication as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, flatulence, stomach pain and low blood sugar.

Have you been taking it as prescribed?
