Aur 20mg Paxil (paroxetine) (Top voted first)

My Paroxetine prescription looked completely different and is oval & pink instead of white & round. I reacted like I was never on Paxil. Has anyone else had a similar experience?

I was on a 10mg Paxil tablet that was white and scored (so it could be cut in half to 5 mg). Double check to make sure the pill matches the prescription bottle description. You can also check on the internet or call your local pharmacist to be sure.

Hello Richard,

After doing some research I noticed that most of the Paroxetine medication that comes in the form of round pills often has the label "extended release" and the oval pills do not. It is possible that the pills you are accustom to taking release slower into your system than the ones you are now taking. I would need to know the markings of the pills to say for certain.

On a side note, it seems that Paroxetine medication comes in a large variety of colors and shapes so I wouldn't worry too much on them not looking similar.
