I have 2 teeth that are ready to come out; my front tooth and upper last tooth. My question is, is it too late or should I wait till they fall out before I take these pills (Augmentin)? ## Hello, Tony! How old are you? If you're an adult, your teeth should not be falling out. And regardless, this medication is an antibiotic that only helps treat bacterial infections and you should only take it, if your doctor has instructed you to do so. I have a tooth infection and was given Augmentin and the doctor knows I'm allergic to penicillin. I know there is some forms of penicillin you can take if allergic, would this be one of them? ## There is no Penicillin in this antibiotic, the FDA lists it as containing Amoxicillin and Clavulanic Acid and its most common side effects may include nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash, and diarrhea. Can this pill be crushed to take orally? On one side is AMC and on other side is 875 and 125. ## This is a generic for the antibiotic Augmentin and yes, it is not time released, so crushing it will have no harmful effects. 6 days into a 7 day prescription for augmentin for tooth infection. Past 2 days have been experiencing vaginal discharge, itchiness, and now today swollen "lips". I read that was a "major" side effect of this med. I had the tooth pulled 3 days ago. I had a miscarriage 2 months ago. I didn't know it got an infection and took augmentin 875 - 125 milligram tablets for 10 days. Did that cure whatever I had plus any other possible infections? ## Are you still having any symptoms of having an infection? Pain? Fever? Pus? Vaginal discharge? If not, then it most likely worked. I am developing rheumatoid arthritis and each a.m. must grab onto the nightstand beside the bed and literally pull my aching body out of bed. i took a test OTC to see if i have UTI it showed nitrite but nothing for the white blood in urine..i have 6 pills of augmentin will this be enough to cure UTI ## oh i also forgot to put the dose its 500-125mg augmentin ## It would be best to see your doctor, so they can prescribe a full course of appropriate antibiotics. My child has been given 5 ml daily dose of azithral for next 5 day as he got throat infection and his cpr is very high. I went to a the Dr and was prescribed Augmentin, the pharmacy then provided beta lab as an equivalent. Is betaclav an equivalent for augmentin? Or Is it a cheaper generic? ## Hello, Sam! How are you? I just had a hysterectomy about a week ago I had to return to the dr because I'm bleeding he did a vaginal ultrasound and saw that I have a blood clot he prescribe me this medicine for infection but what about the clot ## If it's just a small one in the vaginal area, then usually nothing is done for them.
