How fast should amox K Clav 875/125mg take to heal an oral infection? I need to rule out tonsil cancer. If the antibiotic does not work it is more likely to be cancer. ## Or it could just be an antibiotic resistant bacteria, so you'd need to try a different stronger one to treat it, or it could be recurrent tonsillitis, which may require removal of the tonsils. my son is 11 he is taking amox tr-k clv 875-125 mg tabs for a ear infection. he is having a hard time swolloing the tabs because they are so big can the tabs be crushed. ## Yes, they aren't time released, but they are going to taste horrible, no matter what you try to mix them in. I have been on AMOX TR-K CLV 2 pills a day for 3 days, the morning after day 2 I had pain in my big toe the same type of pain that I get when the Gout act up. My son has acne on his chest and back. He is going to join the Army and we have been told that the acne can disqualify him. Our doctor has prescribed Amox/Clav. He has his physical in 2 weeks. What are the chances of the acne clearing up by then. After one tablet of amox-clav 875 mg, I developed shakiness, rapid heartbeat, extreme flushing of my face, and general feeling of fainting. Went to ER and after some treatment, was released. Following days, experienced extreme pain in upper abdomen area. After two more trips to ER, was admitted and underwent battery of test showing gall bladder was shot. Had surgery to remove. I started Augmentin 875-125 on Friday, today is Monday. The day before, Sunday, my chin/jaw was very itchy. It was a deep itch and not a surface itch. Last night before I went to bed, I noticed that my lower lip felt/looked a little swollen and also saw that I had several little blister type spots under my lip and down to mid-chin. I am a "zit picker", so I just gently popped them it seemed there was alot of liquid in them for how tiny they were. Now this morning, Monday, I still felt that little swollen feeling on my lower lip and figured it was from the popping of these tiny blisters the night before. My dad is on Amox-Clave 875mg. he is a fisherman and needs to know if he can be in the sun for long periods at a time? ## How long will he be taking it? It can cause some problems with the sun and heat, he may burn a lot easier than usual and could also become dehydrated much faster. Learn more Augmentin details here. My 10 month old girl was prescribed Pinaclav 125 mg to take 5ml/3 times daily for 7 days. I was just wondering if it is ok to give so much medication (not 2.5ml).The other issue being that the bottle has less than the 7x15ml=105ml required. Medication was given by the GPs on duty during the night(not her own GP), it was made by them & the doctor gave my husband a spoon to administer it (rather than syringe). Therefore I am in doubt. can amox/k clav 875-125 be cut in half? ## What has your doctor advised? Augmentin with Clavulanic Acid is an antibiotic and it isn't time released, so you should be able to cut them in half and take half the dosage, unless your doctor or pharmacist has instructed you otherwise.

I started Augmentin 875 mg yesterday for a sinus infection. I have only taken two tablets, but I woke up this morning itching with a rash. I have read that this is a side effect, but do I continue to take the medication? ## Have you contacted your doctor? Antibiotics can cause a non-allergic skin rash as a side effect, but continuing the medication depends on whether or not it is an allergic reaction, or just that side effect.

Would Augmentin 500b tabs exceed thar EXP dates far if they needed to be taken in a emergancy for a sore tooth, the meds in question are 1 year over and have been stored well and are well pakaged. ## This antibiotic doesn't get dangerous past its expiration, but it does start to lose effectiveness and that creates the risk of it not working as well as it should, which may result in your developing antibiotic resistant bacteria. In such cases, it is much safer to see your doctor, so they can cofirm the presence of an infection and prescribe a new antibiotic. Are there any other comments or questions?
