I had a fall 24 hours ago which broke a tooth and cut up my lip quite badly. I've been to the dentist who fixed my tooth with a temporary cap. However, my lip looks like it is getting infected -- red, swollen and hot. Can I take a course of Augmentin I have in my emergency kit for this? The clinics are closed over the weekend. And will I need to do more for the lip like get it checked out after?
