It may linger for a few weeks, as it slowly tapers out and is expelled, however, this is only referring to the side effects, it's half-life is much shorter, according to NIH records. They list its typical side effects as possibly including dizziness, headache, nausea, diarrhea, and non-allergic skin rash.
