Augmentin 500/125 Age Limit For Children

Can this Augmentin 500/125 mg be given to a 10 year old child that weighs 87 pounds?

Was this prescribed by your child's doctor? If not, then it should not be given. Children are usually given the chewable 250/62.5 dosage.

This antibiotic may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea.
