Atorvastatin Or Felodipine - Blood Thinner?
UpdatedI'm getting a colon test done and can’t take blood thinners. Is Atorvastatin or Felodipine a blood thinner? Should I stop taking them prior to my test?

Hello Ann,
Technically no, neither medication is a blood thinner. According to DailyMed Atrovastatin is a medication to lower cholesterol and Felodipine is used to treat high blood pressure by blocking calcium and relaxing blood vessels.
Despite this both medications caution you to not take this medication prior to surgery. I strongly advise you contact your doctor to see if and when you should stop taking this medication.
