What is considered a normal dose of Ativan? Which dose works best for what? Does it have a high risk for abuse? Are side effects frequently encountered? Any difficulty in getting scripts filled?

There is no normal dose, per se, it really depends on the person being treated and the severity of the condition being treated.

Yes, the FDA warns that it carries the risk of being habit forming, and abused. Its typical side effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache, and irritability.

It is a controlled substance, so most pharmacies will strictly regulate how often you can get in filled, and they watch the dosage you are taking.
