Atenolol Vs. Metoprolol
Updated8/17/17
I've been taking 25mg of Atenolol 3xday for Afib, I have it often, have a pacemaker and on pradaxa (blood thinner). Apparently Atenolol is back-ordered all over the country. My cardiologist prescribed Metoprolol, only 25mg 1xday. I'm switching tomorrow and I'm concerned with enough dosage from Metoprolol. I have googled, can't locate equivalent dosage, can you help?

It is generally better to follow your doctor's instructions as to what dosage you should take. Since these are in the same medication class, the doses are also sometimes the same.
The FDA warns that the side effects may include nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination, and hypotension.
Have you started taking it, yet? If so, how are you doing?
