Atenolol 50mg Vs Amlodipine Besylate 10mg

I was taking Amlodipine Besylate 10mg for about a year or so and my blood pressure is under control now. I have gone to a new doctor who put me on Atenolol 50mg because I was told one of the side effects can slow your heartbeat & I was concerned... Wondering which one is a better medicine when it comes to side effects?

There is no real best medication, since we are all different, so it depends on what works best for you, without causing unwanted side effects.

The FDA lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, increased urination, hypotension, and headache.
