I think the best way to approach this is to just tell them that your pain is not under control, then let them make the decision from there, that way you avoid looking like a drug seeker.
The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as constipation, dry mouth, headache, dizziness, and drowsiness.
They may even suggest you try a stronger medication.
Are you on any other medications?
