Hi Bethany,
I haven't come across any information in the way of kidney disease, but a list of side effects on one of Bendectin's active ingredients "Doxylamine", goes on to show that 'difficulty urinating' is a serious adverse effect that should be reported to your doctor immediately.

If not treated, I'm sure difficulty urinating could lead to more problematic conditions over time.
