Arymo Er And Opana

I was on Opana 40 2 x daily plus 10 mg of oxymorphone hcl every 6 hrs. Since the recent changes, I have been switched to Arymo 60 2x daily and still take the 10 mg oxymorphone every 6 hrs. The Arymo does not seem to be working well. Is there something else that I can ask for that will help with the pain? I too am awake most of the night tossing and turning due to pain. The 10 of the oxymorphone does not seem to have the same effect that it used to when I first started taking it. I've been on these meds for approx. 5 years steady. Does the body just start to become immune to some meds?

Arymo ER contains a time released form of Morphine, which is an opiate analgesic. The FDA warns that it carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mouth.

It could be that Morphine just doesn't work as well for you, but yes, our bodies can also become tolerant to medications we take for a long period of time and they may stop working as well for us.

There are other options available, but if you ask for something specific, there is the risk of your doctor thinking you are drug seeking. Thus, it is best to just inform them of the problem, and then let them make the suggestions.

Does anyone else have any ideas that may help?
