I drink coffee and have been placed on Meloxicam and wonder if I should continue to drink coffee while on the medication? ## Hello, Larry! How are you? As long as your doctor approves, but it may cause more stomach side effects than you would have if you weren't drinking coffee. Meloxicam is classified by the FDA as a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory and they are well known to cause stomach irritation and possible ulcers, so the coffee could aggravate that. Other side effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache and increased risk of bleeding. Is there anything else I can help with? ## I developed epiploic appendagitis the doctor gave me 2 weeks of meloxicam 15mg take one a day , it worked great but as soon as I finished 2 days later started having pain , if I get more how...

What happens if you taken M Cam7,5mg after the expiry date. ## Hello, Melanie! How are you? Meloxicam is classified as a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory that's used to treat pain, fever and swelling. Its typical side effects, as listed by the U.S. FDA may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache, increased risk of bleeding and stomach irritation. It doesn't become dangerous after the expiration, but it does start to lose effectiveness. The best thing to do would be to dispose of them and see your doctor for a new prescription. Seen my Rheumatologist for kind words of 'there is nothing we can do'. ER doctors said there's nothing we can do either. Now 11 weeks and 30 lbs lighter, I am finally getting under control. I will deal with ulcerative colitis the rest of my life. I would say STAY AWAY FROM ALL INJ'S.! ## Have you ever had bowel issues, before? I have been prescribed Eplepton for extremely restless legs which cause insomnia. In addition my thyroid has gone from being underactive to overactive so therefore my meds were reduced. I also over a period weaned myself off one tramacet and one celebrex which I took every night for approximately three years for neck pain. I discontinued taking these two tablets as I was extremely sleepy during the day. Lastly I was prescribed urbanol for depression as well which I also weaned myself off soon after discontinuing the use of tramacet and celebrex. My question to you is this ... is it safe to take Eplepton 1 nightly, 100mg when five years ago I had a stroke and subsequently two heart episodes. I really have a dilemma currently. Back is out again. One shot of cortisone will get me back to normal within 30-45 minutes. No one will help me. Is there any Doctor in PA that will administer one shot of cortisone? Lehigh Valley area. ## There is no proof that cortisone, triamcinolone, dexamethasone, or any steroid is a benefit when injected into spine. That is why FDA has black box warnings on the drug use in this way. The manufacturers do not recommend using it via epidural route. You should Google the Safe Use Initiative Program by FDA and it’s work on Epidural steroid drugs. Also, FDA issued a Drug safety communication in November 2014 that warns patients on the dangers and risks of these procedures. ## While these shots have successfully helped many people, the other poster is correct regarding their warnings...

Hi, 8 years ago I started taking Enbrel. I had a bad knee injury in HS and years later developed arthritis in my right knee. I do not have arthritis in any other joints. Nothing worked to take the swelling out of my knee and it was very difficult to walk. My RA doctor prescribed Enbrel and it has been amazing for me. No side effects and my knee inflammation disappeared. Overtime however my knee was deteriorating. I asked my RA doctor if a knee replacement would get me off the Enbrel. He said no. I would still need to take the shots and that my arthritis is an auto immune issue. 6 months later I went to see my RA doctor again but he was not in. The RA doctor in his place that day told me that yes, if I don't have arthritis in any other joints, a knee replacement will get rid of my ar...

Sold under the name Ardosons in Mexico. Are there many side effects? Should I take as needed or should I take one or two a day every day as recommended by my Mexican doctor. So, it's used to treat pain, fever and swelling. The doctor is correct, it is usually just taken, as need for pain, up to twice a day. Can Indomethacin and Wellburtin taken together cause a reaction? Lightheadness, dizzy, confusion, slurred speech, blood pressure was high. I ended up in the emergency room. Poison control said it was these medications that caused this. ## They aren't actually interactions, but they can be side effects of these medications, which could be worsened by combining them. For example, both Indomethacin, and Wellbutrin may cause dizziness, drowsiness, sedation and somnolence as side effects, according to FDA reports, so taking them both could make those symptoms more severe, and that could lead to the slurring of speech that you experienced. The high blood pressure is also something that can be a side effect of both of these medications, so it could be worsened by combining them. Ref: Medli...

I was on Vioxx for 4 years, it worked for my knees. Then they pulled it off the market. I was prescribed 1000 mg of Relafen. Hi ~ Just got the rheumatoid arthritis tap on the shoulder today. Rinvoq seems to be advertised a lot but I’d sure like to hear from folks who actually are using it. Has it been effective for you?
