Are They Taking Subutex Off Market Unless U Are A Pregnant F (Page 2)
UpdatedSomeone told me that as of July 1,2015 if u were being prescribed subutex that unless u were pregnant u would have to be put on suboxone
This sucks so bad for you guys. I see an addiction psychiatrist for addiction for lifetime maintenance with chronic pain. My doctor will fight that for me to get generic subutex it it ever becomes an issue.
Ok so here in NC u can only get subutex if your pregnant or breastfeeding but when I started the sub clinic in Lexington NC last year in Feb 2014 I had a 6 wk old at home and was breastfeeding. The counselor informed me I had to be willing to stop breastfeeding BC they would not prescribe me subutex. WTF? Anyways I later found out there were girls there that were pregnant that got subutex. I actually detoxed off of methadone while I was pregnant. I didn't want my baby detoxing off of it. Well now a yr and abhalf later I still take suboxone but would rather take subutex. My husband just jot into a clinic here that doesn't take INS and he gets subutex. It is a cash only Dr. In pretty sure the only way he gets away with it is BC he doesn't accept INS BC of all the legal stuff that comes along with filing the bills with the INS Co...via counseling sessions, etc. But he actually will prescribe anyone subutex u just have to pay cash but its not that expensive like $175/mth for visit we just need help with prescription BC it doesn't seem any pharmacies want to accept discount cards for subutex and even the Dr doesn't have coupons for subutex. I've printed several off web but none of them work. Any suggestions?
I was also told this and forced to switch last week even though the nalaxone makes my stomach upset as well. On top of that the stuff seems very weak to me, almost to the point where it feels like I'm taking NOTHING at all rt now! So idk where to go from here. I'm calling my Dr and seeing if they'll switch me back, if not I'm not sure what I'll do. This is switching from 2 8mg subutex to 2 5.7 mg Zubsolv per day. It might work for some ppl but definitely not for me.
In ohio subtext is very rare the hand our suboxne strips 60 a month. I have been on these strips for almost a year now, it has done wonders for me and my life is much better. To all the people that have to change over naloxen might not be comfortable or react great to your body at first but over time ur body will get use to it and u will see the difference. If your serious about recovery anything is better then whatever opiate u was addicted too.I have been on zubsolv, subtext, and suboxne it's a no brainer for me suboxne is better then any of them.
I started on Suboxone about 6yrs. ago, but it gave me headaches to be followed with horrible migraines. I switched to Subutex and could not believe how much better I felt. I finally felt normal. Now I am being told that the state is saying that only Suboxone can be prescribed because people are abusing the Subutex. Why should I suffer because someone is stupid enough to abuse a drug that does not make you feel high? I read a statement from the Federal Registry and it says that Subutex is on some list of 'don't use' blaa blaa blaa, however, it stated that it has not been removed because of being dangerous. My current Dr. did say that unless you are pregnant or have an allergic reaction, no more Subutex. I am going to see what my primary care physician can do as far as writing something about my migraines and that it, the Subutex is the better option for me, unless they all just want me to go back to being a drug addict. I am not going to live my life miserable with headaches. I refuse. I will stop taking the crap before I switch back to Suboxone. I hated taking it and at the time did not realize there was another option, the Subutex. This whole thing is a bunch of BS. I am still missing the boat on abusing either of them. They do not make you feel high and there is a ceiling limit on both of them. If you want to feel high go back to real drugs and stop ruining it for the rest of us who would like to lead normal productive lives, which Subutex allows us to do. I am frustrated and a bit freaked out. Good luck to all.
LAUREN: I know how you feel. I am a chronic nausea and a migraine sufferer, and the Naloxone made both of those so much worse. I didn't understand all this when I started on Suboxone, and I was miserable for a week. Like "couldn't work" miserable. Then my doc switched me over to Subutex and about 2 days letter I was back to normal. I am glad I no longer took Subutex when they started making people go back to Suboxone exclusively.
I also live in Johnson City, Tennessee but I get my Subutex just fine your doctor has to write on the script *****allergic reaction to Nalaxone or you get suboxone. State Law states max quantity of Subutex is two 8mg tablets per day 60 per mo. It is crazy my insurance will cover 150 yet I can only get 60
RCVRYDoc...please help. I just moved to Florida from Tennessee. I have been on suboxone through a clinic for about 4 months now. I cannot seen to find a doctor here that I can get an appointment with quick. I do have an appointment with one but that is 2 weeks away. I've already been without for about 5 days and am extremely sick and I can't imagine doing without for 2 more weeks. Please, please help me!
Hey Melissa as wondering if your husband is still attending that clinic with no problems cause I'm like 25 mins away from Lexington looking for a solution please get back to me as soon as you can
Re: RCVRYDoc (# 5)
Sorry but this comment is wrong, I am receiving subutex 8mg lol I’m a dude not pregnant and don’t have any documentation of hypersensitive issues. I was getting headaches from the suboxone but this is 10 yes since I started the program and just recently switched to subutex.. the orange Teva actavis moons. seem to work a lot better. Don’t feel sick 24/7 like I did on sub, constantly nauseous on suboxone, moody, depressing, felt like crap when it was hot out, took forever to melt, felt drugged out in a bad way all day just yuck I can’t imagine going back to that suboxone..but this is all bs just tell your doc if your getting headaches that are messing with your quality of life and he or she should accommodate you if not get a better doc
Re: Awie86 (# 7)
Incorrecct..subzolv is absolutely buorenorphine and Naloxone, subutex is the only thing that isn’t. It’s just buprenorphine HCL.
