They're supposed to be 2mg and are white with the following imprint: X|A|N|E|X

If they have an imprint of XANEX then no, they are not real. I can assure you that the real manufactured would not misspell their own name brand. Genuine Xanax tablets also have numbers on them that designate the dosage, so the marking would be X ANA X separated by scores and it would have a number 2 on the opposite side.

The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and could cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache and irritability.
