They are both opiates, if that's what your asking, but not directly related. They are derived from different substances, so if someone has a problem with one, they may be able to safely take the other.

The FDA warns that they carry the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth and constipation.
