Do you think it may be a rash of some sort? I've read that this medication can cause an allergic reaction in the form of a skin rash. It can also cause your tongue to be painful or swollen.

I don't know how common it might be for your tongue to turn red, but I would definitely contact your doctor as soon as possible to assess what it might be and take appropriate action for getting it to go away.
