Ciprofloxacin is limited to the treatment of proven bacterial infections such as:

-Urinary tract infections (not recommended as a first-line antibiotic)
-Acute uncomplicated cystitis in females
-Chronic bacterial prostatitis (not recommended as a first-line antibiotic choice)
-Lower respiratory tract infections (not recommended as a first-line antibiotic choice)
-Acute sinusitis (not recommended as a first-line antibiotic choice)
-Skin and skin structure infections
-Bone and joint infections
-Infectious diarrhea
-Typhoid fever (enteric fever) caused by Salmonella typhi

Since it doesn't list tooth aches as a treatment option, I would definitely suggest looking into Clove Essential Oil. It's a natural remedy for dental issues as far as alleviating tooth aches (anaesthetic properties) and fighting infections (antibacterial, antimicrobial, antifungal properties). It can be found at most health food stores and online for around $15 in most places; and it can last many years depending on frequency of use and proper storage.
