Ive been taking tramadol for aprox 8yrs nonstop other than a 7week break. Ive back problems and my knees are broken down do to years of rough wear and tear on top of many injuries. Ive no health insurance either. Truth b told,i cannot function very well at all without taking the tramadol. So i am checking to see of anyone has any insight or suggestions as to where i may b able to purchase tramadol after the 18th of august which is when tramadol becomes a controlled substance. Im aware that ordering overseas is risky but going without the meds is not an option. I am very worried about the change in classification. I never expected anything like this to happen, had i known and not been ignorant to the possibility of not being able to order tramadol online i would have done something different(not sure what but something). I have lived 8yrs on this medicine and if i am to all of a sudden have to stop taking it i am pretty certain i am going to lose everything. My career will b gone cause i wont b able to function well for many weeks and my family will suffer due to my inabiltie to function effectively.....etc....... i am honestly scared to death and am hopeing to find a safe way to continue getting tramadol. As i stated earlier i have no insurance nor the funds to start seeing doctors not to mention the docs only seem to prescribe narcotic type painkillers and i am not willing to take them due to the side affects and the dangers they pose for me at my work.(operate heavy equipment, machinery etc....i install commercial gas,water and fiberoptic lines)tramadols effects dont cause me to be "high"so to speak.

I have been taking tramadol for 10 years it help better with my nerve pain then the opana ER and oxycodone but since the change to a control drug my doctor said he can't prescribe to short acting narcotic so my supply runs out in a month then I have to see what happens and go from there

I have been there so many times, Sunny. It is awful. You live in a state of fear that you won't get an order AND you run out of what you have...then forced to go through withdrawls. I hope that doesn't happen to you. Glad you are getting some help to get off them. I need to also.

Tramadol has, as far as I know, only been reclassified as a Schedule 3 Controlled Drug in the UK, and not in other EU member countries, so you should be able to find tablets and capsules quite easily from other countries in the EU but no longer from UK-based IOPs, who have already withdrawn tramadol-containing meds from their lists.

Paul....if you're ordering from a web-based pharmacy in the US they're all finished now that tramadol is a controlled substance. I received emails from a few saying they were shutting down as trams were their main thing and now they can't sell them. The only way to get it over the internet now is to order overseas.

Shelly...what I mean by the party's over is that we can't easily get the meds we need as we have in the past. I didn't mean that it was an actual party or an abuse situation. Ive survived cancer twice. I have severe nerve damage from cancer surgeries. I am in constant pain and even with my history the doctors in my area will not rx the amount of med I need to stay out of pain and they flat out refuse tramadol which is the only thing that keeps me out of violent pain and agony. I think youve been very fortunate to find a doctor who will help you. I live in Seattle even when you're dying you get very little pain meds. :/ I wish it was different bc Im not an abuser. I am addicted though due to long term use.
I have an appointment tomorrow to hopefully get a replacement med like suboxone/buprenorphine or something but for the past 2 weeks Ive been rationing what my friend have me and only taking enough to keep withdrawals at bay. Its just a really horrible situation to be in ya know?

Hi all!i had my 3 month appointment with my pain management dr.yesterday.He wrote me a new scrip for my tramadol w/refills;also new scrip for vicodin. He told me not to worry about new laws that they didn't apply to people with real needs for the pain meds.The new laws & scheduling of meds is just to weed out those with addictions.

What's happened sunny? Are you still doing well like planned? The party is not over for those of us who get our meds prescribed to us. The Docs are not just going to stop prescribing tramadol because of it's scheduling factor now. I just had to get a refill from my last order and they did the tramadol with a number of refills , So I guess I am either lucky or they are going to gradually decrease my intake and if that's what happens,hey it may be what the creator intended . So lets not all jump to conclusions that those of us who need the med for legitimate pain are not going to get it EVER AGAIN& the party is OVER lol . How do you think the people who take vicodin feel? Oct 6th it is changing as well . Anyway I hope your doing well and hope the sub is working for you. Take care xx :)

My regular Thai guy says he's still shipping to the US and most have made it through customs with no problems. He thinks Mine was seized bc e sent it international priority express so it was kind of a red flag. I just ordered again and will see what happens this time. Right now my friend is sharing hers with me to keep me from getting too sick until I can get this worked out. This is the worst feeling ever.
