Hi I ve taking this medicine since 25days. The doctor prescribed this for a month as a pain reliever after I had Radio Freq Ablation on my neck. This is helping me a lot, but I am afraid if it can cause any liver problems or other serious problems? How long can I use it for my pain? My age is 28 and female married.

This is a narcotic analgesic, that is a generic for Vicodin, Norco, Lortab and others and the most risky part of it for your liver is the Acetaminophen.

However, you can help minimize your risk by making sure that you don't exceed the recommended dosage, since liver damage or failure is most often known to occur with very high, toxic doses of it or very long-term use and one month isn't considered long-term.

Learn more Vicodin details here.

It does have the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.

As to how long you can use it for pain, you should discuss that with your doctor, since they are familiar with your medical history and overall health.
