I had been taking Citalopram 20mg for 8 months. I began taking it for anxiety, agitation, hormone type issues. Although it absolutely helped all of the symptoms that I complained of, the drowsiness side effect is too much. I feel like I am completely worn out all the time. I don't have the energy to exercise, therefore I have gained 10 pounds. My doc has switched me to Lexapro 10mg and I have been taking it for a week now. I already have far more energy than I had on Citalopram. Just hope it is as effective for my original symptoms. ## Are you still doing well on the Lexapro? Learn more Lexapro details here. What type of hormone issues are you having? If your hormones are in flux enough to cause those types of symptoms, such as what can happen with perimenopause or menopause, then t...

I am trying to withdraw from trepiline by taking half a tablet (10mg)per day instead of one tablet. I am getting palpitations could this be from the trepaline. ## Hi, Margo! Sorry about the palpitations, they can be miserable and frightening. And yes, it could be from a too rapid dose reduction of the Trepiline, this can happen with antidepressants and that's why the dosage is usually very slowly reduced to taper off of them, rather than just stopping suddenly. If you were on a 20mg dosage, then the first step for tapering would most likely have been going to 15mgs. Learn more Trepiline details here. Have you consulted your doctor? You need to do as soon as possible, because there is also a chance that the palpitations could be due to something else, so you need to have them checked...

I am a 33 year old male. I've been a low self esteem person from childhood. Due to some family tensions before my marriage and after my marriage (around 5 - 6 months from Oct 2015 to Mar 2016) I was under tremendous pressure and was constantly over thinking. That time around I was unaware that this behavior of mine would lead to depression. By the end of Feb 2016 I was feeling some symptoms like fatigue, fast heart beat some times, and reduced sleep (6 -7 hrs per day) and unknown fear. I underwent regular blood tests and other tests like ECG ECHO etc thinking there was some physical problem but every thing was normal in tests. During last week of march 2016 I lost sleep completely for 3-4 continuous days. I was frightened and consulted a psychiatrist. My doctor also prescribed me th...

I am on probation. I am on Zoloft, hydroxezine, prednisone, bactrim, ibuprofen. Can any of these meds cause a false positive for any illegal drugs? ## I am on probation and I go the 23rd for a drug test, can it make me fail and get in trouble? ## I currently take Sertraline. I had to have a drug test for my entrance to school. The only medication I take is birth control, Sertraline, and I was on prescription vitamin D. My urine test came back positive for Benzodiazepines. My Drs office said that the Sertraline wouldn't cause it. They had the lab do further testing. During that time I contacted my pharmacist and after he did some research he found that it can cause a false positive. I then found the zoloft insert online and it says right in the insert that it can cause a false positi...

I am on zoloft and tested positive for benzos!!! I am on probation, and made them send it out for confirmatory testing results...Is this testing accurate...will it confirm a false-positive??? ## The Sertraline in the Zoloft has been known to cause a false positive for Benzodiazepines. What the further testing will show depends on what type of test they've ordered and how in-depth it is, they should be able to detect the Sertraline and it's metabolites. Have you gotten the results back, yet? ## I currently take Sertraline. I had to have a drug test for my entrance to school. I take Clonazepam, Depakote and Sertraline. I'm involved with CPS and was told that my meds can make me test positive for methamphetamines. Is this true? I do not take anything beyond what I am prescribed. I need some answers as it's preventing me from getting my kids. ## No, none of the medications you've listed have been known to cause false positives for it. Are you taking anything else, even over the counter products? ## I'm not sure about the one but Sertraline can cause a false positive for benzodiazepines.

I am on cymbalta 60mg at night and 30mg in the morning along with 200mg of gabapentin 3x a day for fybromayalgia and mild depression. I was given adderall 30mgs and I took a few of them. I felt focused but had started to sweat excessively for a couple of hours and my pupils are dilated. I looked up the symptoms and it linked me to serotonin syndrome. Being freaked out I didn't take my gabapentin or cymbalta yet today. My question is...if I took 60mg of adderall this morning, should I take the other two scripts (cymbalta and gabapentin) today or skip them and wait 24 hrs for the adderall to leave my system? Do I need medical attention or am I being paranoid? My muscles are cramping up in my back and hands so I'm not sure if this is caused from skipping my meds for fibromyalgia or...

My depression symptoms were anxiety and depression stemming from lack of self-esteem and felling helpless/hopeless after being in a bad work environment with my boss and after losing some work and property that I created in a hurricane. I had feelings of grief and depression and in lack of motivation. I had PTSD, with anxiety but I also just felt completely demotivated. I had difficulty concentrating. I would feel overwhelmed and also de-motivated. I would be agitated and on-edge while at the same time I just wanted to retreat and stop trying to fix my situation. In 2013, I decide to mood stabilizing medicine. My doctor started me on Zolft. I took it for six weeks or seven weeks. However, on the Zoloft I felt dull and I had a lack of libido. Then, I switched to Viibryd. Viibryd is worki...

Ive been on Methadone maintenance (150 mgs) for 3 yrs now, and started taking Wellbutrin about 1 yr ago. Everything had been going great for awhile, but then the Wellbutrin seemed to stop working as well. So last week my Dr. put me on Effexor 75mg once a day. As soon as i started taking it I started feeling REALLY WEIRD. My depression seems to be better, but the side effects are freaking me out! Starting out it would give me energy, then after a while I become very lethargic; then came the restless leg when i got into bed (cant stand!). + Most of all is the sweating! I have a problem with sweating as it is (the Methadone makes it worse on its own), and now the Effexor is giving me MAJOR COLD SWEATS throughout the day! I figured it might be me withdrawing from the Wellbutrin, so I starte...

My husband was put on bupropion hydrochloride 100mg in september 2016. Within 3 weeks that dosage was upped to 150 mg, twice a day (300mg total). Then the first week of december 2016 the dosage was upped to 450 mg (highest dose ever given). He was to take 350 mg in the am and 150mg at 1:00 pm. Within one week on 450 mgs, his fingers in right hand are all numb! All fingers but thumb. He is right handed and cannot pick up anything. Very difficult to hold a fork - to shave - or to do anything! I am currently backing him off of bupropion and praying to god we can get back the feeling in his right hand! Unless your body is seriously pharmaceutical chemical deficient, I would most definitely try to get well without the use of chemicals. They, prescribed chemicals, have wrecked his life as wel...

I've been taking Wellbutrin for 7 years. Over the years my doctor has increased the dosage to combat the loss of effectiveness due to tolerance. Now, it no longer works. I'm bedridden, have stopped working and have trouble with activities that involve movement, like washing dishes. Doing laundry is a huge accomplishment. Anyway, I've been on imipramine for 7 years, a tricyclic antidepressant (TCA) of the dibenzazepine group. Anyway, I'm curious about Selegiline, an MAO-B, (its also calledAnipryl, L-deprenyl, Eldepryl, Emsam, Zelapar). Has anyone tried it to boost Wellbutrin? How about something to boost acetylcholine? How about COMT? It's critical that I get something like Wellbutrin to work. What is the standard replacement? What are some on the synergetic boosters?...
