My daughter has been doing well on 30mg of the generic for celexa, citalopram which is manufactured by Torrent. They are small pink oval pills marked with 1010. After a couple of days of unbearable behavior which is indicative of not taking her medicine and her telling me she felt like she wasn't on her meds, I realized, that the pills were different. After some research these bigger pink pills marked with 508 are manufactured by Caraco. Could there be that significant difference in manufacturers of the same drug? ## I assume you mean 20mgs? Because that is the dosage in both of the tablets you mentioned. However yes, there can be differences from one generic medication to another. They are allowed to differ from the name brand, in the amount of the active ingredient, by as much as ...

What does that pill look like? Can you describe the capsule that's manufactured by Sandoz? ## Hello, Nancy! How are you? What are the markings on it? That is the information that would enable me to check the contents for you. Can you please post back and clarify? The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, mood changes, weight loss, and dry mouth. ## CHECK THIS OUT: I thought the problem (The cause of severe reflux and HEARTBURN) was the 40mg Fluoxetine (generic Prozac) in the blue capsule, but I also have 40 mg Fluoxetine in a WHITE capsule with 2 orange circular stripes (Sandoz GG 540). Since I wouldn't dare take all 40 mg, I emptied the capsule, replaced half the med (20 mg) into the capsule, and took the loose powder (20 mg) with...
pls let me know the purposr of serta 50mg. ## By Serta, do you mean Sertraline? If so, Sertraline is a Hydrochloride prescribed as an antidepressant. Many pharmaceutical substances are prepared as hydrochlorides so that they may be quickly released in the gastrointestinal tract; the body usually absorbs a hydrochloride within 15-30 minutes. The efficacy of Sertraline for depression is similar to that of older tricyclic antidepressants, but its side effects are much less pronounced. Differences with newer antidepressants are subtler and also mostly confined to side effects. Evidence suggests that sertraline may work better than fluoxetine (Prozac) for some subtypes of depression. Sertraline is highly effective for the treatment of panic disorder, but cognitive behavioral therapy is a bet...
My mom started Tryptomer 10 last Thursday. Took full tablet every night for 3 days. Felt nausea and drowsiness. Doc said to reduce it to half immediately (4th day). Half tablet also not suiting as she is feeling drowsy 24 hours. Can I stop it completely with immediate effect? Hardly been 7 days since shes taking it? ## Have you consulted her doctor about stopping it? Tryptomer contains Amitriptyline, which is an antidepressant and, side effects, such as the drowsiness are quite normal for this class of medications. They can last for as long as 4 to 6 weeks, while her body adjusts to the medication, then they should hit their peak in severity and start to taper off. As to stopping it, after that short of a time period, no there really shouldn't be any problems with it, if her doctor ...
I was given a RX for a mild sleeping pill Trazodone 50 MG. I have tried taking one as prescribed occassionally and it keeps me up all night. Then the next day I feel fatigued and have a headache. They are white round pills with a line down the center on one side and tthe other side has letters PLIVA AND THE #433 ON THE SIDE. Couldn't find it in the PDR. ## The tablet marked PLIVA 433 does contain 50mgs of Trazodone, however, it is not actually a sleeping pill. Trazodone is an SARI antidepressant, which can cause some drowsiness as a side effect, but it will not actually work like regular sleeping pills. That also explains your symptoms of the headache and fatigue, because those are normal side effects of this class of medications. Learn more: Did your doctor say that this was a slee...
Hey all. 31 male here. Prescribed Lexapro about four months ago for depression and PTSD. 5mg for a week, then 10mg for three weeks, now 20mg and sitting pretty. Here's the run down on what I've experienced: At first the obvious side effects included immediate 'fogginess' of vision and a strong sedative effect. If anyone's ever taken Molly it sort of feels like the come-on of that (with no peak obviously). That was the first few days. I also noticed an almost immediate drop in libido that has progressively gotten worse. Normally I'm a 'once a day' guy at least. Now I'm more like once a fortnight, and when I do get friendly with the girls, it can take up to an hour to climax (if I don't give up). The foggy vision and drowsiness has since cleared, bu...
I have been taking Imipramine for my panic and anxiety disorder for 23 years. I am now up to 150 milligrams per day. It is still working for my anxiety, but over the last year I'm starting to have weird symptoms. Fast heart beat (went to cardio doctor a few years ago and he says it was normal) heart fluttering, excessive sweating while exercising, facial numbness, body twitching, fatigue, dizziness. I also just turned 50 and am e o weir called big menopausal symptoms. I'm a mess!! It is very hard to find any articles on very long term I promise use. Anyone have any experience with any of these symptoms?? ## Like I think you said it could be very well due to menopause and/or a combination of your body adjusting to the tofranil with less hormones. I seriously doubt that after 23 y...

Can doxepin show up on a urine drug test? And if so, how long after taking it? ## How long does dixopin take to get out of your urine? ## This is an antibiotic, so it is not something included on standard tests, according to FDA information. Typical tests screen for controlled substances, such as narcotics, or benzodiazepines, which are things that might be habit forming and are commonly abused. Is there anything else I can help with? ## How long can doxepin be picked up on a gas chromatography test? I have a friend in pain management that sometimes is drug tested. ## I really need to know how long Sinequan (Doxepin) remains in your system? Going to drink rue and don't want any problems. I heard 72 hours should be fine, but wanted to make sure. If anyone knows about this please help...

I have recently received a white tablet for sertraline 100mg by mail order when I have been getting a yellow tablet for the same prescription from a local pharmacy. Is there a difference??? ## What are the markings on them? I'm sorry, but this information is needed to enable someone to check for you. However, it is normal for a generic to be manufactured by different companies, so they may be colored and marked differently. Can you please post back with more details? The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, weight changes, and mood changes.

Lexapro and Sertraline are not the same medication.
I'm having trouble sleeping at night n i have pliva 433 and i'm 5 weeks pregnant. Is it safe to take? ## The pill with the Pliva 433 marking contains 50mgs of Trazodone, which is an SARI antidepressant, which can cause drowsiness, as a side effect. And the FDA classifies it as being in pregnancy category C, because studies have shown an increase in congenital abnormalities, when it was used by pregnant animals. Learn more Trazodone details here. Thus, I'd suggest speaking to your doctor, before taking it. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Try over the counter sleep aids while pregnant before you take any kind of prescription for help sleeping. Before I was pregnant I was on a cocktail of prescription medications (vyvanse, xanax, hydrocodone, fentanyl, gabapentin) th...

My sister has been going through problems of depression and insecurity. Initially she has been advised to take Nexito forte for 10 days. She was fine till then. After completing 10 days she was still fine for a week. And now again she had depression problem. Now she has been advised Nexito Forte again. I prefer counseling as it gives long term effect. Also in a couple of years she is planning for baby. Is it advisable to continue with this medicine? Please advise. ## Nexito Forte contains the active ingredient Escitalopram, it is an SSRI class antidepressant. Usually, for people with depression, the best course of action is to use one of these types of medications and couple it with counseling. That way, the medication is used a short-term solution and the counseling helps deal with thi...
