My last refill my pharmacy switched manufactures to Solco. They said same thing. IT WAS NOT! My fibromyalgia is worse and I am dizzy and can hardly walk. I feel like I am going through withdrawal. Pharmacist is changing me back. Solco didn't seem like it was the same strength and may be since the capsules were a lot smaller! ## Was this through Walgreen's? Was told the same when picking up my sister's 30mg prescription yesterday and saw that the pills were different. She didn't start taking the pills yet bcuz she still has 3 of the Teva brand left over. I'm afraid they won't take them back if there is a problem once she begins taking the new brand. The pills were like $400. Manufacture...
Why did I read that you should not take this medicine till 2020? I was just given a lot of samples of 5mg that my doctor wants me to start for my depression. I am scared to death to start because of the horrible reviews & side effects that sound horrible. I have never heard of this drug. Can you please help me with this. Also if I do decide to start when is the very best time to take it? ## Has anyone else gone down from 10 to 5 mg of trintellix? I am afraid I will have some anxiety doing this. Can anyone give me advice? ## I've been on Brintellix/ Trintellix for going on 2 years. Saved my life. I am on a low dose, with buspar piggy back, but no longer a handful of drugs. If you've failed the rest, give it a shot. Start low. I am great on just 10mg, and I was suffering from ...
This is a warning to you all... A little bit about me first: I'm 6'3" and only 130 pounds. Naturally I am very susceptible to side effects of any drug. I also didn't have my first taste of alcohol until October 2011, which is when I turned 23. Throughout November 2011 I took Cymbalta. I also drank occasionally, but not often and not much. Cymbalta gave me a lot side effects such as an upset stomach, dizzyness, inability to sleep, etc. About mid-December I switched to Prozac, and took it through February. Throughout this time I drank a lot. Very often, and sometimes I'd get incredibly drunk, but I didn't have any bad experiences with mixing Prozac and alcohol. At the beginning of March 2012 I started taking Viibryd because Prozac wasn't giving me the results I...
Our 13 year old Maine Coon mix is in the last stages of renal failure. We didn't know anything was wrong until about a month ago when she stopped eating. It's been up and down ever since her diagnosis. Our vet prescribed Mirtazapine but, after reading the many negative comments, we put off giving it to her as long as we could. We finally had to because the effects of not eating in cats are liver shutdown and death. She's had no serious adverse reaction to Mirtazapine, and it has definitely helped her appetite. It is buying her a little more quality time with us. I certainly wouldn't use or give this drug lightly, but as some posters have noted, in the end it's a risk v.s benefit judgment call. ## I am very sorry to read of what you are going through. I am not very kn...

They do improve and eventually go away completely. If they don't, then it might not be the right medication for you. Other side effects may include nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth and wei...
My doctor has suggested changing to paroxetin. I have read a lot of reviews and majority are negative about the paroxetine. I am starting to worry. I have bad depression obsessive disorder and anxiety but with all the reveiws it seems not to be a good pill. Can you please tell me the experiences you've had while being on it? Thank you. ## Hello, Dee! How are you? One thing that you have to remember about online reviews is that the people with good experiences rarely go hunting sites like this to discuss such things. Generally, those that hunt up such sites, are those that have problems and are looking for reasons, or others that share their experiences. However overall, it's a very small percentage of the millions of people that are taking it. For example, Paxil/Paroxetine has a...
can these pills possibly cause a urine infection in men? ## Citalopram is an SSRI class antidepressant. And no, they are not known to cause urinary tract infection, in either men or women. They can, however, cause frequent urination, as well as several sexual side effects, like decreased sex drive and problems reaching orgasm. Hello, I just wanted to put this out there; I missed 2 days of my Brintellix, as I had to wait for the pharmacy to order it, and I have been crying constantly for 2 days now. I got it today, but just wondering if anyone thinks I'm being ridiculous or is it possible? ## Hello, Lili! How are you? You aren't crazy, that is entirely possible. Please don't beat yourself up over it. In the future, you may want to talk to them about keeping it in stock for you, or requesting your refill a few days ahead of time, so they can order it in by the time you need it. The FDA lists the typical side effects of this medication as possibly including nausea, dizziness, dry mouth, weight changes and vision changes. Is there anything else I can help with? ## I stopped 3 days of my brintellix 20 ...

I need to get of Lexapro because of the side effects but understand the withdrawl is a horror ## Hi Kate, Usually for drugs like this the safest way to stop taking them is to tapper off them, if possible. Some medications can be taken in fractions (actually cut into pieces) and these smaller pieces can be taken in place of the regular dose for a period of several weeks until the body is no longer dependent upon them. In addition to that, I'd also suggest making yourself a tapering schedule on a calender to track your progress and keep you on the right path to complete your goal within a specific time frame. Without a way to track your progress, tapering can sometimes be much more difficult than it needs to be. I hope this advice helps! ## I just started Lexapro, normal spoken side e...
My pharmacy has changed manufacturers of escitalopram and I feel withdrawal or discontinuation syndrome. Is this normal? ## Hello, Tina! How are you? There can be slight fluctuations in the amount of the active ingredient from one generic to another, so the new one may be a little lower, which could be causing the problem. Have you spoken to your doctor? They may want to prescribe the name brand to avoid this, in the future, or even raise your dose slightly to make up for the discrepancy. The FDA lists the typical side effects of this medication as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth and weight changes. Is there anything else I can help with? ## I was taking the Forest Lexapro until 6 weeks ago when I switched to Lundberg (same dosage). 3 weeks ago I started experi...
