pill is orange with a large L on one side and nothing on the other side- it is a smaller round pill ## I had regular elavil pill perscribed to me at Kansas University Med. Center in Kansas City, Kansas. The last bunch I received had the orange pills mixed in with the regular green pills. I am now in another state, but I got them in KC Kansas.

I complained to my primary care physician that the Paxil CR (37.5 mg daily) was controlling my hyper-self-critical thoughts and general anxiety well, and that 1 mg of Lorazepam 3 times a day was controlling my panic attacks, but that over the past year, my depression has become more acute and frequent. She said she doesn't mix meds, so she prescribed Cymbalta instead of Paxil. But I wasn't given a lower dosage of Paxil to ween me off of it, lessen any withdrawal, etc. Is this normal? Is this a recommended practice? Since I made the switch (it's been since Monday), it's unbelievable but I now feel a severe general anxiety that is almost debilitating. I have only been taking citalopram 2 weeks now. My Dr. had me on 10mg for 1 week and then upgraded me to 20mg for the 2nd week. It makes me more nervous and edgy than my anxiety and situational depression does. I stopped taking it for one day yesterday and felt so much better. Can I stop cold turkey after only 2 weeks? ## After such a short period of time, you may experience some mild effects if you stop taking it abruptly, but probably will not have any serious problems. this site is not medical professionals though, so you should consult with your doctor to be safe, there are other medications you can try. i am curently taking cymbalta and i lost hair on my face.does anyone know if cymbalta could be the reason for this,if so im getting off this ## It all depends on how long you've been taking it, your medical history, etc etc. There are numerous side effects listed on the page for Cymbalta Details, but hair loss is not specifically listed. A number of complications and conditions may take place which could result in what you're experiencing but without knowing your medical history it is almost impossible to tell. I would recommend letting your prescribing physician know because they might decide to switch your meds. You may also find the to be helpful. I've been on Pristiq, 50mg, daily for almost two months. I have a history of atrial fibrillation. Is there any danger of Prestiq causing my heart to go into A-Fib? (So far, it hasn't.)....Bob ## Pristiq contains the active ingredient Desvenlafaxine, it is an SNRI antidepressant.
