I had a baby 6 mths ago and I'm 43 years old. But unfortunately I can't seem to get back to my mental state of control and positivity. I've been put on cilift. However I developed a deeper depression. I was diagnosed as a manic depressive in my twentys and cilifit makes it worse. So the doctor put me on Eglonol as i did not want anything too strong. However I've gained weight. and I'm wondering if it is from the eglnol. It does help me in getting through my daily routine. I've put on 8 kilograms, 17.6 pounds after taking eglonol, in a period of three months. Can someone give me an indication. I do know that esperide is supposed to be a generic of eglonol, and it's side effects are mass gain.... CAN ANYONE HELP? ## Weight gain is a very prominent side effect o...

anti-depressant ## Cipralex is a brand name for Escitalopram, also sold under the brand name Lexapro. It is an SSRI antidepressant. Some of the most common side effects include: nausea, drowsiness, dry mouth and headache. I was on Zoloft for several years and it is the only time in my life I ever gained weight, even though my eating and activity habits did not change. Once I stopped taking it, the weight immediately dropped off. Does anyone else have experience using this drug, or drugs in this class? ## Have been on Cyprolex for 18 months; excessive weight gain for sure and nausea. Was prescribed this med for the first time in my life du...

my mother is taking this for over a year, she has GERD now, mild cough not like normal cough, also has a history of high BP for 25years. any advice, shud she change the medicine? ## Tryptomer contains the active ingredient Amitriptyline, which is an antidepressant. Has her doctor given an opinion on what caused the GERD? There are several possibilities. One, of course, is that it could be from the medication. However, is she also on blood pressure medications? If so, they are much more likely to cause the acid reflux, than the Tryptomer is. She may need to switch medications or it could be as simple as adding a medication that will reduce the amount of acid produced by her stomach, such as: or She should also watch her diet and avoid any highly acidic foods and beverages.

I would like to know if one can take Trepiline and Aterax in combination ? ## Trepiline contains the active ingredient Amitriptyline, it is a tricyclic antidepressant. Atarax contains the active ingredient Hydroxyzine, it is an antihistamine, used to treat allergic reactions and for its sedating/calming effects. They can be used together, but you should know that using both at the same time can cause additive effects, so you should know to watch for certain signs of possible problems, such as: blurred vision, fever, disorientation and hyperactivity.
