I have been taking ic tranzodone 50 mg to help me sleep for about 2 years. Can it become habit forming? ## No, it is not habit forming. It is NOT a controlled substance. Often it is used off-label as a sleep aid when doctors, for some reason or another dont want to prescribe a controlled substance. It is not a sleep medication. It is a mood elevator. Good Luck. ## Trazodone is an SARI class antidepressant, that as was stated, is also sometimes used to treat insomnia. And it is not habit forming in the concept that it is addictive, however, your body does get dependent on any substance that you ingest regularly, from your morning coffee to a medication and, if you stop taking it suddenly, you can experience some withdrawal effects, because your body does have to readjust to not having it,...
orange capsule with W 718 on it. capsules are usually brown, not orange. Is this a problem? ## Hi Grace, I do think it is odd that the capsules you received with this imprint "W 718" are orange and not brown, because I just ran a search for this imprint and they are regarded as being brown. This may not even be an issue, but just to feel at ease I would consider contacting the manufacturer directly about this, to make sure there's nothing wrong with the pills and that the color coating is just variable on every batch of pills. The contact page for Wockhardt USA LLC. is: I hope this information helps! ## i have been taking venlafaxine hci er for 8 mos. and am much improved. After 12 hours I get side effects (shocks to the back of neck and head). Should I adjust dose? Does mar...
I'm 30 yrs old and have been on this drug for about a month and a half. At first, I had very few side effects with this drug not half as bad as I was expecting.I did experience a few times waking and having weird stars and colors when I would close my eyes again but that went away after a few days. However, now since I've been on the 40 mgs for about three weeks now? And I've been having a lot of really weird things happen to me. I've had increasingly vivid and frightening dreams. i feel increasingly agitated and like things are not real.I am often woken from a very deep sleep by the sound of someone knocking at my door loudly. I have had increasingly weird visual occurrences as well. Twice I've seen blue stains on things that weren't there. Today I looked at mys...
I have heard that Lexapro is used to withdraw from cocaine. Does it work? If so, will Drs. prescribe it? ## Cocaine does the same thing as lexapro it release endorphins but just in a different way, faster. There is no reason to worry when doing the two. In fact while on lexapro I don't feel depressed the next day after doing coke as I usually would. ## why did they say they had to ccchrck out my last reply, to the person looking for a dr. who would prescribe them "methadone??? ## I respect your honest response because it appears that you speak from first hand experience and give a first hand experience regarding the physical and mental effects of mixing leaxapro and cocaine without giving a moral response which i think is irrelevant, everybody's experience is unique to thems...
Hi, I started taking Sertraline HCL around December. My doctor, like routine started me at a low dosage and began steadily increasing it. I was up to, I believe, 125mg (around February) when I stopped taking it abruptly for some reason. However, during the months following, I continued to go to my doctor. I lied to her telling her I was still taking the pills when I wasn't and she kept increasing the dosage. I was too nervous to tell her the truth; which I feel bad about now. So, now it's August and school is coming back I'm having some bad anxiety. I still have the prescriptions she gave me and I am really considering starting back on it. However, I don't want to increase the cause of side effects or possibly overdose because it's not in my system anymore. What shou...

I started taking pristiq 5 months ago and since the have gained over 20 pounds! It helps to know that others have had the same problem. It has helped eased my anxiety and really helped the depression but the weight gain makes me more depressed. That's hard to handle. Does anyone have any solutions? ## If you want to stay on the Pristiq, then the best suggestions I can make would be for you to lower your calorie and fat intake, plus to up your exercise. Learn more Pristiq details here. I am currently on klonopin for about 4 years now...(.50 3 x's a day) my anxiety is bad, in a bad mood alot...my dr sent me home with viibryd i have never been on an AD before scared to take??? ## It's not any more dangerous or risky to take than the Klonopin that you're already using every day and, as a matter of fact, in some ways it has less risks, because it isn't known to be habit forming and addictive, like the Clonazepam in Klonopin. You can learn more about the Viibryd here: Have you spoken to your doctor about your concerns? ## I have been on Viibryd for a year. I have found that I begin to get withdrawal as soon as 4 hours after I miss the time I usually take it. These include itching all over my body and shocks in my head. If I miss a day it's truly horribl...

I have been taking 300mg trazodone at night for the past 8 years. Is this too long? Can I go on indefinitely taking it? I am frightened of rocking the boat by stopping it. I would consult my doctor and taper off gradually. ## I have also been taking Trazodone for several years. My doctor informs me that it is not habit forming. A search of the internet maybe full of different opinions. I often refer to webmd. First though I would consult your doctor if in doubt. Stopping the medication should be gradual under your doctors care, not on your own. As for rocking the boat I'm wondering if you are on other medications as I am. I am on a antipsychotic and 2 anti-depressent and Trazodone to sleep drugs. There have been med changes through out my life. I know through experience to never tak...
I am a 32 year old female; 1,7m tall and I weigh 52kg. I am on 2 x Wellbutrin 150XL in the morning, and 2 x Epitec 100mg at night. I am very irritable, not motivated, very emotional, don't have much energy, but my sex drive is great. At least I don't sleep all day any more and I don't burst out in tears for every little thing uncontrollably - which used to happen even when I was happy. I am considering adding 5-HTP and L-Tryptophan to my regime. Does anyone recommend this? Or could my dosages just be wrong? My work is suffering, as I used to be able to work like a machine, pumping out high quality relevant work at the speed of light.
Updated in WellbutrinHi guys, I've never been on this site but am needing some advice and encouragement, I'm 19 years old and have been on Pristiq for about a year now, and before that another anti-depressant for a year.. I have been taking 100mg every day, however I've recently started going off them and since the lowest tablet is 50mg I've had to stop completely now and I'm kind of freaking out.. I've been really quite dizzy the last few days of being off it, as well as feeling a more down about everything.. Also having brain 'zaps' I guess, when I move my eyes too much..and difficulty concentrating.. I don't know what I should do, whether to go back on or not, and how long I'll be feeling this way and experiencing these symptoms..any advice or anything would be rea...

lexapro and Fanapt taken together along with ambien, ,lorazapam, topamax, estra test, furosemide, protonix, busbar what are the effects of thses medications taken together ## Hi Christina, I hate to say it, but just about every medication you mentioned has a potentially dangerous or life threatening interaction of some kind with one another. The worst of these interactions however, lie between Topamax and Fanapt; and Buspar and Lexapro; where as you are at greater risk of serotonin syndrome, oligohidrosis and hyperthermia. Have you considered trying to replace any of these medications with something safer and more natural? I can suggest a few alternatives if you're open to the idea of it.
I have forgot to collect my prescription from doctor and its now closed ll weekend and have just been on lower dose for 4 weeks, how will this effected me or how can i get some to tide me over. ## Hi Donna, Depending on how long you've been taking this medication and how much of it you've been taking, there is a risk for withdrawal symptoms. If you forget to take a dose, it's generally recommended that you take the missed dose as soon as you remember it. However, if it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and continue your regular dosing schedule. (Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed one). As far as withdrawal symptoms go, the precautionary guidelines for this medication state the following: "If you suddenly stop taking citalopram, you may...

Learn more Viibryd details here. Has your doctor provided any advice?
I have been prescribed this tablet by my dr to treat symptoms of PMS but only take it for day's 15 to 28 of my cycle, has anyone used it for this purpose and felt better? Thanks ## Citalopram is an SSRI antidepressant and the main problem with taking it this way is that it really needs to be taken regularly, all the time, in order for it to have a beneficial effect. These types of medications can't be taken occasionally, or just as needed. Thus, if you're only taking it for 14 days, then you really aren't even giving the medication a chance to help you. Learn more Citalopram details here. Has your doctor instructed you to use it this way?
