Usually, there is a minimum and maximum effective dose, but they are not the same for everyone. It's going to vary from person to person. One person may do well and get great results from the lowest dose available, but someone else may require the highest. There are also people that it may not work for, at all. Learn more Luvox details here. I've responded to several of your posts about the various medications, which ones have you actually tried? Are they just not working for you? ## I have tried many Effexor Zoloft lexapro also used abilify as an add on for a short time and zyprexa for a short time added on. I was most recently on paxil and now am tapering to luvox I never here from you again can...
I took 300mg of generic wellbutrin for about two years and lost about 10 lbs in the process. Over a few months of tapering off it (and going on the nuvaring) I've gained about 25 lbs. Now I've been off of it for 3 weeks and the depression has come back. I plan on going back on it once it's been a full month off and I want to know if I can expect the same kind of weight loss the second time around or if my body is already used to it? ## Hello, Jill! How are you doing? It's kind of hard to say. If the weight gain is solely related to the Nuvaring, then no, you may not lose it on the Wellbutrin. Learn more Wellbutrin details here. The best thing to do would be to consult your doctor and get their input on the situation. It is possible that the weight gain is just related to...
Has anyone ever experienced this? I've taken pristiq for about 2 years for anxiety and other than the very rare breakthrough anxiety, I've been really happy with it. For the past 2-3 days, I've been having brain zaps though and I haven't changed any of my meds or missed any. Same meds/dose, taken at the same time of day for years, so I wonder what's causing this now? The only recent lifestyle change I've made is starting to excercise an hour a day for 5 days/wk and eating better because I need to lose weight. I've been doing that for about 7 weeks and have lost around 20 lbs. I've dieted and excercised while taking this med before though and don't remember the zaps happening. They're mild in comparison to those I've had when I'd miss a cou...
My husband was in need of a liver transplant. During his pre test he tested possitive for ecstasy, a false possitive. He is on Wellbutrin - this drug will give that possitive for ecstasy. Luckily his Dr. knew him well enough to know he was not on ecstasy. He had a chemical test done and it was negative. Since my husbands false possitive the liver transplant team has had 5 more people test possitive. I feel badly for those people out there who may be suffering consequences because of this issue.
Updated in WellbutrinI'm on a few prescription drugs and i thought it was the Metropolol. I have been on the metoprolol for 2.5 years and never noticed anything. I've been on the Cymbalta for about 6 months. A low dose of 20 mg. My hair has aways been very thick. I notice some thinning around the forehead. ## Hello, Mike! How are you? Sorry about the hair loss. It it most likely either due to age, or the Metoprolol. If you read deeply into the detailed side effects of it, hair loss is in there and can occur in both men and women that take it. I experienced it myself, when I tried it…..and being female with a glorious mane of red, I wasn't happy about it, either! Learn more Metoprolol details here. The best thing to do would be to talk to your doctor about it and ask them to prescribe an al...
I agree with the person who stated that those who abuse pain meds, especially when you are not prescribed them - make it hard for those of us with true chronic pain. I reside in Florida and it's an Act of Congress in this state to find pain mgmt that truly believes in you. Of course MRI's, X-Rays, that helps also. But it frustrates me to no end everyone that's so paranoid about being tested because they shouldn't be taking it in the first place. I won't go through my medical issues except suffice to say one of the things I'm trying to avoid is a spinal fusion. I'm terrified because no one could help take care of me or my dogs....at all. True chronic pain will begin to mess with your depression, and I already have Major Depressive Disorder. This pain has robbe...
I cry a lot and I have a lot of issues in my family that cannot be overcome (Health). I need something that makes me not so emotional and DOESNT make me gain weight. I just need something to make me calm down easier. Don't suggest Cymbalta, welbutrin or Lexapro- I've tried all of those and although they worked, Lexapro was the best- I gained too much weight! Thanks! ## Hello, Terryvasil! How are you doing? Have you tried Prozac/Fluoxetine, yet? It isn't know to cause the same weight gain that the others do, as a matter of fact, if someone is carrying a few extra pounds, it's actually been known to cause them some weight loss. Learn more Prozac details here. It's also an SSRI antidepressant that can help with anxiety and other mood issues. Other side effects it can ca...
Have just had a major suicide attempt was on Cymgen not on Sertaline 50mg do you think sertraline may work better ## Hello, Jennifer! How are you doing? The Sertraline is in a different class of medications, it is an SSRI antidepressant, so it does work better for some people. Learn more Sertraline details here. It can cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, dry mouth and weight gain. Which one has your doctor recommended you take? ## Serlife 50mg
anybody in the same boat being on CymGen 30mg and changed to Serlife 50mg I don't think the CymGen was working anymore (almost 3 years) ## Hello, Jennifer! How are you? It is normal to develop a tolerance to a medication that you've been taking for a long period of time and happens to everyone, sooner or later. Sometimes you can take a medication for many years, before it happens, sometimes just a few months. When this occurs, you usually need a dosage change, or to try a different medication, like you're doing. Learn more Cymgen details here. This is an SNRI antidepressant and it may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, dry mouth and weight changes. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Thanks for your reply seeing as I am on Serlife 50mg now anybody else on ...
stomach upset after taking wellbutrin sr for 3 years I started getting sick to my stomach when I take it now. Does anyone else have this problem with Wellbutrin sr? ## Hello, Anna! How are you feeling? Sorry about the stomach upset. Our bodies change with time, so it is possible to experience something new like this, even if you've managed to take something for quite awhile, without a problem. Learn more Wellbutrin details here. Have you been eating or drinking anything different recently? Are you taking it at a different time of day? Have you consulted your doctor?
I've all ways been scared to take new meds. I know this is a low dose, I'm scared I will get sick. What is your expirence? ## What did you end up doing? Did you start taking it? I understand your fear of taking new medications, I react badly to many and have even had a bad allergic reaction to one. However, there is no way to know how any medication is going to affect you, because we are all different. Learn more Celexa details here. And side effects are normal, most people experience them for the first few weeks, until their body gets used to the medication. When taking this you may experience nausea, dizziness, drowsiness and dry mouth.
10mg. I think this is generic Prozac, but I'm not sure. Any help would be great. Thank you. ## Hello, Kemmie! How are you? I can't find a listing for this in any of the prescription drug databases that I've checked. Can you please double check the imprint and provide details on the shape and color? Thanks!
Due to some reason I have developed a suicide tendency & depression. I went to a Psychiatrist & he prescribed me the above medicines. Now after taking the medicines, I have developed drowsiness, fatness etc. Is it the side effects of the medicines ## I am taking daxid50 4months second month goodfeel after same badfeel wat ido
Remeron helps me sleep great at night but doesnt help control my mood swings in the day though.. my doctor said it was a mood stabalizer and would help but yet I still see nothing! I still stay irritable during the day.. and I also take zoloft during the day but still nothing! So as far as remeron being a mood stabalizer its bull to me but does help me sleep, thats just about all it does ## Hello, Chrisyy! How are you? Zoloft is an SSRI antidepressant and Remeron is an NSS antidepressant, so based on that I can only guess that they just aren't the right medications to help your irritability. Have you talked to your doctor? You might want to ask them about trying an SNRI or a tetracyclic antidepressant.
I started taking Bupropion XL in the summer and about 2 months ago I stopped taking it. During the time I was taking Bupropion my period was always late and now that I have been off of the medication I haven't had my period and it has been 2 months. Is that a normal side affect of taking Bupropion XL, and will my period return to regular? (I am not taking anything else at this time and I did not pair Bupropion with anything, I am waiting to take my new medication until I can find an answer about my now nonexistent period). ## Yes, cycle irregularities have been known to happen in women that take antidepressants, including Bupropion and due to its effects on the body, it could take a few months for things to balance back out and for your cycle to return. Learn more Bupropion details ...
Need to know who the manufacturer is of the trazodone ## Hello, Keith! How are you? Trazodone is actually a generic for Desyrel, which means that unlike the name brand, it's manufactured by several different companies to create market competition and help keep prices down. Thus, I can't tell you who manufactures the one you're asking about, without knowing more information on it. Can you please post back with the markings that are on the tablets? Thanks! Learn more Trazodone details here.
Interesting side effects just on the first week on 10mg. Tonight I will be starting the 20mg. In the past couple of nights I've had almost hallucinations. The shadows in the room at night seem to be moving when there is nothing that could be causing them to move in the room. I'd close my eyes because the moving shadow business was a little too much for me to handle and when I did that I saw like crazy lines and junk, hard to explain. The following day (today). I've felt extreme anxiety. Had kind of a dejavu moment and have been super paranoid all day. Getting kind of zappy tingly feelings on the top of my skull which feels pretty weird. As far as mood goes? I don't know. It just feels odd, like different. No better, no worse but different. The GI side effects the first n...
I would like to know the name and use of a small round yellow pill. One side displays 41, the other GG. ## The small yellow pill in description is Imipramine HCl (10 mg). Imipramine is mainly used in the treatment of major depression and enuresis (inability to control urination). To view information about this drug, please click on the link below... Do you have any more questions or information to add? Please post back if you do. ## Is the Imipramine GG 41 still being manufactured. I like this generic form.
I got it in South Korea - white, oval shape, has A letter on one side and a vertical line on the other. This pill was prescribed as drug for treating depression but I would like to know the exact name ## I wish I could help you more but I believe it is supposed to be a drug that treats depression and anxiety called Alprazolam (Brand name: Xanax). That is what I was told in very bad English from a South Korean visiting the states who was prescribed the pills when their sister was killed in a car accident and they were attending the U.S. funeral. Unfortunately, I still can't be sure because they were saying the name in Korean and she shared some gestures that seem to be agreeing with me when I asked, "Xanax? Valium?" but I'm really not sure. I'm using that along with t...
Hi everyone. I've just been switched from celexa (after 12 years) to lexapro. I was having similar to withdrawal effects with the celexa like it was not working right. Dr started me on 20. Have been on 20 mg of lexapro for just 6 weeks. I feel a little better in some ways like no brain zaps or extreme anxiety for hours, but I'm extremely emotional. Its almost like I was numbed out on celexa and now everything is coming to the surface. I've had to take xanax a few times to get through the anxiety when my other techniques were not working. This is very frustrating. Its shredding my job and I'm also in graduate school. Sooooooo...he said to try taking 30 over the next 5 days to see how I feel. And if a little better I can go up to 40 after that. But if no better, I can try ...
