I have suffered with Major Depressive Disorder for 23 years. Tried so many antidepressants and settled with Cymbalta. Take Abilify 20 mg. No side effects so far. Seem to have less fatigue, more energy and increased ability to focus. I have ADD and take 70 mg Vyvanse. Overall, very pleased with Trintellix. I can honestly say this was a Godsend. My family has noticed a difference in me already. Amazing drug well worth the high cost. Blessed insurance finally agreed to cover after several appeals and pleas for help. ## Awesome! I am so happy that this medication is working so well for you. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, and constipation....
Needing to switch from name brand cymbalta 60 mg to generic. Does anyone know the best generic? When I tried yrs ago it felt like it wasn't doing anything. ## I find all generics of Cymbalta useless. I pay more for the original Eli Lilly brand name. I have been using Cymbalta since my second lumbar spine laminectomy in 2005. ## Not every medication works for everyone that tries it, and that includes generics. As to your feeling like it didn't do anything, how long did you take it? Most medications like this take about 4 to 6 weeks to reach their full level of efficacy in your body, so you do have to take them for awhile to see if it will begin to help you. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, dry mouth, mood changes, and weight changes....
I've been using Zydrus brand for years at bedtime 1 pill. CVS gave me Teva, as per pharmacist this is only brand they carry bc of volume pricing. No more special orders, as corporate will not allow it. My other drugs i.e. alprazolam same story. Has anyone used Teva that has switched from other brands? CVS is no longer customer friendly!!!! They are my in network pharmacy. I'm screwed. ## They no longer carry Teva generic Adderall . They haven’t a few years Each location has only what is stored ## Thanks for your reply. However, it was Teva Trazodone that I was inquiring about. How effective is it compared to other generic brands. I was using Zydus. ## As with any medication, it works well for some people, but not for everyone. The only way to find out how it works for you ...

I was just prescribed Rameron 30mg to take at bedtime to help with me sleep. I am also taking Adderall 30mg, Ativan 0.5mg and Celexa 20mg on a daily basis. I know Rameron has a side effect of weight gain. Has anyone heard of or experienced any worse side effects with the meds combined? Also I know it takes a while for the body to get used to a drug. If I start experiencing worse symptoms how long should I take the drug before consulting with my Dr? ## Hi, Emily! How are you doing? I was on viibryd for a year and a half. Soon after starting the medication (40 mg) I started having aches and pains in my joints but I didn't think anything of it because I had recently had ankle surgery and attributed some of the discomfort from that. As the pain in my joints spread I became more concerned as I have Crohn's disease and there is arthritis that is related to Crohn's disease. So as the pain and inflammation increased I went to see my GI DR. and he felt it was Crohn's Arthritis and started me on Humira. Well this didn't help and the joint pain and inflammation continued to progressively get worse. So I was referred by my primary to a Rheumotologist and was started on heavy doses of Prednisone still with the diagnosis of Crohn's arthritis. This bring...
I had been on 200 mg of Tofranil PM for 30 years. I was tapered off completely in mid-January 2017. Am now experiencing body pain mainly in my stomach and back area. Feels like electrical shocks, and is constant. Could this be a rebound effect and should I be put on a more modern (less side effects) Tricyclic Antidepressant? ## How long has it been since you stopped taking it? Has there been any change in your symptoms, yet? It would be best to consult your doctor, since these issues could be caused by something unrelated to the Tofranil. According to FDA warnings it has been known to cause rebound pain, rebound depression, and headaches, but those usually occur if someone stops taking it cold turkey, rather than tapering off of it. Are you on any other medications?
I was put on Mirtazapine 15mg for 4 dys , then up to 30mg , 9wks ago. I was extremely anxious & depressed & also was only sleeping 2hrs a night. I slept soundly after 45mins of taking one , and the anxiety was far less. I was told they are a tablet that takes longer than others to get into the system proberly 8wksfor depression so to persivere with them.. I am not at all happy with the weight gain issue attacted to them , but was told if you eat healthy 3 times a day & resist the urges you may get , and eat fruit , you will not put on weight , as of yet I am O.k. but I do feel bloated ,and my tummy looks it.. Hi. This is my sixth day in Pristiq 50 mg. If anyone has had a positive experience with this drug, could you please let me know? Does there ever come a time when there is that “ah-ha” day, when you feel great? So far just the simple side effects for me with fatigue, nausea, etc. The side effects alone are making disappointed so far. How long before my optimism gets better? Share your “positive” with me please! Thank you! ## Improvement usually comes gradually, as the side effects start to taper off, and everything improves, but that may take 4 to 6 weeks. According to FDA reports, along with the fatigue, and nausea, you may also experience dizziness, dry mouth, and mood changes. How are you doing, now? Has there been any change? Are you on any other medications? ...
Could you please tell me if that drug is used to induce prolonged sleep to eliviate pain in the lower back vertebrae and discs. Or if some other drug cocktail exists to achieve this. An earlier reply is appreciated. Thanks C ## I believe the medication you are referring to is Amitriptyline, a generic for Elavil. This is an antidepressant that sometimes helps people with mild to moderate pain. It can cause drowsiness, but will not induce prolonged sleep. I suggest speaking to your doctor to get ideas for what may help you. ## Thanks Verwon. A friend of mine suffers from severe back pain. He is undergoing this sleep treatment induced by a cocktail of drugs? He has been doing this for a week at home. Apart from nurses going in to check on him he wont let anyone near him. He will come off t...

I started with many different drugs, i was up to 400mg of trazadone at night for sleep. i hate the side effects and have tried for years to get off it. I can't. I went off of Cymbalta cold turkey and I would like to know what effects i will experience from going off of this medication ? ## If you are still alive seek help, it can kill you. www.antidepressantsfacts.com read about Traci Johnson. Please never take or let anyone you know take it, but if you do you MUST KNOW and pass it along. My prayers Love and Light, Brad ## I'm sure your Dr told you not to ever go off your drug without tapering off. It could cause major problems in your brain and system doing so. ## What dosage were you taking, and how often were you taking it? Cymbalta contains the active ingredient Duloxetine, it is most commonly used to treat depression, anxiety, and nerve pain. The FDA warns that a sudden withdrawal creates the risk of rebound depression, rebound pain, a...

Help I'm on day 8 of going off cymbalta and I'm in so much pain I can't sleep my side hurts and I'm so down I just don't think I'm going to make it thru another day any help out there ## Hi Machelle, I'm sorry to hear that you're having a hard time with the Cymbalta withdrawal process. You're definitely not alone! As you probably know, for drugs like this the safest way to stop taking them is usually to taper off of them, if possible. Some medications can be taken in fractions (actually cut into pieces) and these smaller pieces can be taken in place of the regular dose for a period of several weeks until the body is no longer dependent upon them. In addition to that, I'd also suggest making yourself a tapering schedule on a calendar to track your ...

I starting taking viibryd after having no luck on lexapro, paxil, celexa, effexor, toprol, wellbutrin etc etc. Started on 10mg starter pack and went up to 40 fairly quickly. Family noticed that I was much more agitated and crying all the time...also have frequent suicidal thoughts...which aren't typical. I told both the therapist and psyc about this. I have to do it by 5mg increments since I have anxiety the dizziness makes my anxiety/ panic worse. Oh btw, I also...
