Has anyone gone off Pristiq and gone back on again after a few months? ## Why did you go off of it and why do you want to go back on? Those answers are very important for providing you with information. Did you just stop on your own? Was there a medical reason? Did you suffer severe side effects?

Cymbalta side effects. Have taken cymbalta for degen. Joint decease and severe backback(3surgeries in nine month, the last one, missylower fusion with side rods at base) i seem to be getting no benefit for pain from this drug and reading about all the side effects, i'm stopping it. Second week, no ill effects. Next stopping the neurontin. Tired of taking all these drugs with no relief. ## Hello, Missy! How are you? I am very sorry that you're so miserable! Yes, these usually only help with certain types of nerve pain and it sounds like you may have more than that going on. Do they have you on any actual regular analgesics?

I have been on prozac 10 mg for 14 days and it has helped my anxiety and fear some. I take it at night and do sleep well but sometimes wake up in morning with anxiety and fear, will this get better the longer im on it. I started taking it because I got anxiety after my daughter was born 6 weeks early and is still in hospital. ## Hello, Sak! How are you? I'm sorry about the problems that you're having. You may need to check into raising the dosage, so there is more to stay in your body for a longer period of time, or ask about splitting your dose and taking it twice a day. I take it for the irritability and moodiness that I get from perimenopause and found it works best for me to split my dosage. It will also take about 3 weeks, before it reaches its full efficacy level in your b...

Hi. I have been on lexapro for about 3 weeks, starting out on 5mg to lessen any side effects. But I noticed after about the first couple of doses I was feeling back to my normal self and loving it. I had no side effects at all after a week so started taking the full 10mg. Still no side effects. I feel amazing, totally back to my happy and positive self. I am actually sleeping really well which for me is unheard of (so if that's a side effect I hope it stays) but maybe it's just because my mind is not racing with a million silly thoughts. Just wanted to say that lexapro is doing exactly what it should for me and I hope of people do have side effects that they stick it out because it will be worth it:) ## Hello, Shannon! How are you? I am very glad that it's working so well fo...

Teva brand Welbutrin 100 mg SR has worked like magic for 4 years (no more depression!!) but they just stopped making it. Does anyone have experience switching to another gneneric? What do you recommend instead of Teva 100 mg SR? Thanks! ## Hello, Roseyposey! How are you? There's really no way to say, much of it depends on the person. The best thing you can is try one and find out. Which does your pharmacy carry, now?

I lost my brother last year and we were less than eleven months apart and have always been extremely close. Then exactly to the date a year later my mom died and then ten days later my mother-in-law passed on Thanksgiving. It has been so overwhelming to me. I cannot sleep and I know I have all of the symptoms of depression and my doctor wants me to take Lexapro but reading all of your comments has me terrified. The side effects sound awful. Has anyone had ANY success with it at all? Frankly, I cannot take on more mental and physical issues at this time. ## Hello, Elaine! How are you? Something that you have to remember, when you're reading such posts online is that those are actually from a very small percentage of people who specifically went looking for a website like this due to ...

Any one else go off of cymbalta and experience muscle/leg cramps? I'm on day 7 of going off and since day 5 I've had horrible legs muscle pain. I didn't quite realize it was going off the cymbalta till yesterday. Started taking 40 mg of Prozac I'm fine depression wise. I'm a bit cranky, but I can't stand the leg pain. Anyone else out there experience the same? Thank you, hope to hear from someone. ## Hello, Susan! How are you doing? Has it eased up, at all? Yes, that can happen if you abruptly stop taking these types of medications. Usually, the best thing to do is to have you slowly taper off of one, while going up on the other. Were you told to just stop taking it?

How long did it take to work and how long are you on it for what are you taking it for please help ## Please respond someone ## Hi Theresa, According to an article I found by the College of Psychiatric and Neurologic Pharmacists, patients taking Luvox (fluvoxamine) may begin to see signs of improvement in appetite, energy, and sleep, within the first 1-2 weeks of use. It goes on to state that symptoms of depression may require up to 6-8 weeks before noticing a full improvement. So from what I understand, it really depends on the severity of each case. Apparently the dose can also range anywhere from 50mg all the way up to 300mg. But only you & your doctor can effectively determine what amount is right for you. I hope this info helps!

My daughter has been trying to taper off effexor for 6 months. She has had nausea, vertigo, brain zaps. A couple days ago she says she felt like crying for non reason. Yesterday she had these feelings off and on all day. How long does this it last? Is there anything for these crying spells? Please help. ## HI, Lexy! I'm very sorry about your daughter is going through. What type of taper is she doing? Is her doctor helping her? The crying could mean that she's trying to do it too fast, because that's what usually causes such rebound effects. Learn more Effexor details here. If someone has been on them for a long period of time, these medications must be very slowly tapered. ## Thanks for repkying Verwon, She has been tapering slowly, except when she cut her dose from 150mg (o...

I have started Lexapro about a week ago. I was naseous the first couple days but have noticed I am extremely tired everyday. I take the pill at night and currently only a half pill and will start taking a full pill next week. Will the tiredness eventually go away? I can't function like this everyday. ## Hello, Nugget! How are you? Yes, it should taper off, after about 4 to weeks, once your body adjusts to the medication, but it will most likely recur for awhile any time you raise the dosage. You may also experience headache and dry mouth. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Hello, I am a 35 year old (who is in perimenopause) female who has suffered from OCD for most of her life. I used to take Prozac as a young adult, then switched to Dumyrox 300mg, and now after realizing th...

I was on 30mg of mitprtazipine for 18 months, I came off them at the end if January as I could not stand the terrifying nightmares I was having, since then I have suffered with a fatty liver and chronic lower back, pain between my shoulder blades and muscle pain, have tried all methods of relief, chiropractor , osteopath, massage and all kinds of pain relief, nothing so far is having any effect , would like to know if anyone else has suffered anything similar. ## HI Liz, Sorry to hear about your situation with mirtazapine. Regarding your question on other user's personal experiences with this drug, I actually came across a fairly large discussion thread here talking about the 'dangers of mirtazapine' and how others have managed to cope with it, at: Discuss/dangers-of-mirtaza...

I have never taken a Benzo in my life; but I just got a random drug screen; and it showed positive for them. the only thing I have taken within the last month was zzzquil, and Zoloft on a everyday basis. I was wondering if either of those could be the cause for me showing positive?!!

Anyone taking viibryd? I am on 20 mg and having problems with my muscles being sore? Anyone else having these problems? ## Hi, Snoopy! How are you feeling? Muscle soreness or aches can be a side effect of this class of medications. Learn more Viibryd details here. How long have you been taking it? Most side effects only last about 4 to 6 weeks, while your body is getting used to the medication, then they start to taper off in severity. However, you should consult your doctor to be certain that there's nothing odd or unusual going on. ## R I still taking viibryd ## I don't recall sore muscles. Just horrific sleep paralysis, nightmares, & then major discontinuation syndrome. How's it going? :)

Hello all, I started taking Viibryd back in August of 2013. My doctor prescribed me 40 mg daily. I was also taking .25 Xanax as needed. To say if my anxiety went away, I'm not so sure. Anyways, I relocated to California back in January, and I am now 2,000 miles away from most of my anxiety triggers. There have been days when I had forgotten to take my medicine and experienced TERRIBLE side effects. Itchy all over, dizzy, and terrible neck pain. I went to see my new doctor about 2 1/2 weeks ago and he said that someone my age (22), and size (118 pounds) should have never been prescribed this or such a high dose. He instructed me to ween off of it. Needless to say after taking 1/2 for a week, then 1/4 for a week, as of Monday I am done to nothing. I am exhausted. I literally can sleep...

I have been on Escitalopram 20mg for a little over a year. Now I am tapering off. Cut back to 10mg. My entire body is in pain. I have extreme headaches. I am nauseous and have very little appetite. I am tired, anxious and depressed. Is this normal? Especially the body pain. It's like If I am soar from head to toe. Help? ## Yes, those types of things can happen with such an abrupt lowering of your dosage. Rather than lowering so suddenly by half, usually it's normal to lower it very gradually, while having the person skip doses. What are you taking it to treat? ## Verwon I am taking it for Anxiety and depression. Mainly for depression since I am already taking Klonopin for anxiety. I am starting to feel better now but wow was it really painful physical and mentally. The body ache...

How are you? This tablet contains 20mgs of Paroxetine, which is an SSRI antidepressant, it can cause diarrhea as a side effect in some people that take it, along with nausea, headache, dry mouth and dizziness, however, the side effects should wear off after 4 weeks or so, once your body adjusts to the medication. Are there any other questions or concerns?

After only a week of being prescribed Cymbalta, (Duyloxetine Hydrochloride) 20 mg. cap once a day, for depression and back pain by two doctors working together, I fell victim to several of the side effects of the drug. Although I did not know that they were side effects at the time (most notably weakness, loss of coordination and balance). I consulted with the prescribing doctor, I was told that I had not been on the drug long enough, or at a high enough strength dosage to develop any of the side effects. After another week of Cymbalta I was falling down, could not walk straight, fell off my bike three times (once seriously) and could barely lift my arms over my head. I visited Rite-Aid and the public library and retrieved "print outs" concerning this drug. To my surprise, I had...

Remeron/Carbamazapine/Lamictol/Bentyl/Zofran and Serequil are the medicines I am using on a daily to fight with my life long seizures and bipolar disorder. I currently live in a halfway house where I am drug tested on a weekly basis. Today I was notifed that my UA had tested positive for amphetamines. I have less than a month before I can go home. I wouldn't do anything to ruin that. I deal with enough stress in my life and now this. Please can someone tell me if any of these.meds may cause a false positives on a urine analysis.
