Restless leg syndrome. Need relaxant to be able to get more continuous, un-interrupted sleep !!!! I know someone who takes Gabapentin for his restless legs!!! Any serious side effects ??? I've been taking one gabapentin 300 mg three times per day starting six days ago for severe spinal stenosis. It's been a miracle drug for me in terms of pain relief and makes oxycodone seem like a placebo. Unfortunately, starting two days ago I started to experience pronounced swelling in my legs and feet. I'm already taking 25 mg of hydrochlorothiazide for high blood pressure and I thought that would prevent any swelling but it hasn't. If I can deal with the swelling and being uncomfortable from it do I still have to go off the gabapentin? Are there any medical reasons I can't accept the swelling in order to have the benefits of the gabapentin? I have a really bad memory these past 5yrs. I've been taking gabapentin the past 7yrs, I also take oxycodone, oxymorphone, mobic and stopped taking valium and a muscle relaxer about a year ago. I don't consume cannabis anymore. It's been about 15 yrs since I have. But when I did smoke back in the day I smoked a lot for a good 10yrs. I've noticed lately that I cant remember anything. When someone introduces themselves I just totally forget 2 mins later. I have tried the trick where you say the person's name over 5x's or use it in a sentence to help remember. But to no avail. Even at work, I'm told 3 things to do, I only remember 2 of them, or when it's time to do a task at work I just totally forget. It's affecting my job and making me look very stupid...

This Mecolan capsule is recommended by my Neurologist along with cabapentin tablets thrice a day gaba100+Mecolan + T Cartine morning,Gaba100+Mecolan in the afternoon, Gaba300 + Mecolan +T cartine in the night. I am taking the above for the past two months. I am a diabetic patient and the sugar is under control. I am getting sweatiness often. Is it due to Mecolan taking thrice a day. I am taking gabapentin tablets for the past seven years. There were no side effects.

I’m wondering if anyone else has suffered stomach pain as side effect of gabapentin? I've been on it for more than a month and a half. I have terrible constipation as well. ## Those are listed as possible side effects of this Gabapentin, along with nausea, dizziness, headache, and mood changes. I've experienced it myself, but to any degree of severity, and usually an acid reducer helps. Are you on any other medications? Have you ever had stomach issues prior to taking it? What does your normal diet consist of? ## Sorry, that should have read 'not to any degree of severity'.

Does anyone have experience of being treated with Dilantin for anxiety/depression/ADHD symptoms ? If so, could you advise me on dosage - Thanks ## Hope things have gotten better since you posted this. I have depression and anxiety as was adult ADD. I take patil. 10mg of Ativan as needed for the anxiety and to help me sleep when I can't calm my mind, and also Ritalin 10mg 2 times a day. The Ritalin being added really made a difference. I am not wanting to stay in bed. It has helped with my productivity and has helped me focus at work. I know this will not work for everyone but it sure did for me. ## I have taken Dilantin since I was 9 months old, then all kinds of drugs. Does anyone else have feedback after 10 years of Dilantin?

My pharmacy has recently stopped carrying Actavis generic Neurontin 100 mg. They also said they "could not order Actavis for me". So, I ended up purchasing the Brand Neurontin. My insurance picked up some but it was still $$$. Now that I've tried the brand it seems to work better at neuropathic pain control. Just wondering in May 2015 if anyone in the USA has found a generic Neurontin that they really like or works for them? I live in a small area with very few pharmacy options other than 2 big box chains. The monopoly works to their advantage as they rarely ever will 'order' any generic a person asks for. I started taking vimpat i think last June or July. Not too sure, the meds have messed with my mind big time. Stayed at 200 mg, kept having grand mal seizures so eventually got up to 600mg a day. Had double vision, couldn't walk, numbness, memory loss, acted like a zombie, slept a lot, and was depressed. So she took me down to 500mg, nothing changed. I took myself down to 300, 100 in the am and 200 at night. Double vision and loss of leg control seemed to go away but i still couldn't think straight and wasn't myself. I have taken myself completely off vimpat to try to have a life again before the seizure comes that kills me, but i feel very, very depressed, alone, scared and ultimately just want to die. My husband is prescribed gabapentin. He has been taking it for about four years now. He first took it while in rehab to overcome opiate addiction. He can take ten 600mg tablets at once and go about his day. When he runs out he buys it through other means. When he can't find it, he takes opiates. I am an extreme enabler and I give him money every week. He lies and steals and pawns things to support his habit. I need help. I don't know what to do. He wants help but doesn't want to go to rehab. Does anyone have severe stomach cramps with this medicine? I started with 600 2 pills 3 times a day. ## You started with that high of a dosage? That could be causing your problem. Normally, this medication is started at a lower dosage and slowly titrated up, as needed. Other side effects may include nausea, dizziness, mood swings and weight gain. Have you discussed it with your doctor? I am taking 600mg 2xs per day and am experiencing tingling and numbness in extremities (hands, feet, arms etc). I also have a metallic taste in my mouth. Has anyone else had these side effects on Gabapentin? ## Have you consulted your doctor about these symptoms? I've been taking Gabapentin 600mg tablets since 2009. My tabs have on them two different types of #s. P636 - This tablet is blue. The other is white with G31 600mg. Why the difference? Also would like to know how long will they last before they expire? I had initially broken tablets in half and then read instructions to take at next dose or asap or throw away. I am afraid I jumped the gun in breaking them. Are these half pills less effective? Is there a danger? They have me on gabbapentin 600 mg 3 times a day (1200mg at bed time). So a total of 2400mg daily for bipolar and anxiety. I've become heavier in weight and impotent.
