Anticonvulsant Medication Affecting Fertility?
UpdatedI'm 40 yrs. old and a mother of 2. It's only now that we decided to have a baby again. My husband is 41 and has acquired epilepsy due to stroke. He has taken medication since 2014. We tried hard to have a baby during my fertility period since my menstruation is still normal. I'm wondering if I did not get pregnant because of his medication?

What medication is he taking? Some of them may cause issues with his fertility, according to NIH reports.
However, your age may also play a role. It is not common for women to become pregnant at age 40, or beyond. The NIH does warn us that our bodies tend to slow down and not be as fertile as we get older.
Are you on any medications?
