I believe the pill I have is an antibiotic. I had a toothache a few weeks ago this is what the doctor gave me. It was in my pocket. It's a large oval white pill with 33 on one side and and X on the other. Augmentin 875 is too strong for me. I'm taking it for a uti. Can I cut this in half and only take half a dose to cure the infection? ## Hello, Brandy! How are you? I'm on 75mg methadone maintenance. I accidentally took a 500mg cipro. Just one. Will I go into withdrawels ## I've never heard of cipro causing withdrawals. Cipro is an antibiotic used for a number of different infections. Have you read about cipro and methadone? I mean, read about them not interacting well together? I've never heard or read this before and I have been a nurse for 24 years. I will have to look this one up. I have never taking any medications in my life. I have what the doctor calls a sinusitis infection and my blood pressure read yesterday 180/120?? Can I use an open liquid amoxicillin for a 2 year old that I got on 11/03/2016? He's been messing with one of his ears. ## Hi Sara, I see you posted this back on December 28th 2016 so you may have already come to a consensus on what to do... But I would say that if it has been left open for nearly two months or longer then that's probably not something I would recommend taking. Liquid solutions in particular I believe are more susceptible to going bad than tablets. Not to mention that any impurities might have made their way into the open bottle during that time period. I also think the effort to get a fresh antibiotic will ultimately be worth while, to ensure the safety and efficacy of the treatment. My best wishes to you and your son!

I have an abscess tooth and was given Clindamycin about a month ago and finished it. Now the swollen face and pain is back and I have a prescription from 10/2013. Is it still good? And safe to take? I am having terrible headaches and was given cephalexin 500mg 4x a day + aspirin 81 mg 1 pill a day, for an infection in my hand from an IV injection site after surgery. Hiya im going to be taking erythromycin 250mg and it says on the packet to take 1 tablet 4 times a day spaced between 6 hours. I was told to take 2 in morning and 2 at night so im wondering if 2 250mg tablets to make up 500mg is ok to do or should I space the doses out? ## Hello, Jessica! How are you? However, I will say that most antibiotics I've taken for bacterial infections have been prescribed for an average of 7-10 days; and I've personally never heard of anyone walking away with a 5 day prescription of antibiotics, but I'm sure there are some of those cases out there with minimal infections.
