Having taken Bactrim for about 3 weeks for a prostate infection, it now seems that the first urination after taking the pill exaggerates or possibly causes an extra burning sensation. Is this ever reported as a side effect ## Bactrim contains Sulfamethoxazole and Trimethoprim and being that it's a sulfa drug, it's well known to cause odd side effects and weight reactions in many people that take it. My Doctor prescribed Doxycycline ww27 20mg it is a green pill. I've been using Doxycycline mp573 20mg a white pill. The difference is the green pill, since I've been taking them about 4 days my mouth is in such pain. I stopped using them. There is a tag on script bottle that the color and shape is different but is the same pill.
