In december I developed bad tooth pain and a sore on the gum in a left molar. I have a heart murmer and my blood press.rose to a high level but was erratic and other times a normal rate. I called a dentist and he said to go to the ER. I did and they prescribed amoxicillin at 500mgs every 8 hrs. The last dose was on Jan 3, 2013 and by then the tooth problem was gone. I went to a dentist and he found no infections but said a molar on the opposite side which had lost some filling should be repaired soon. I made an appt. with him, but in the meantime it developed a blister near the root and soreness at the gumline. Also I started having erratic BP swings again sometimes 160/105 and resting pulse to 88. When I called he said to cancel his appt and go to the ER again, he didn't think the ...

Can I take Craztronin 500mg with high blood pressure medication? ## I decided to select a number of well known blood pressure medications from different classes to check for interactions with the antibiotic Craztronin (Azithromycin). I used the UCLA Health drug interactions checker for this. The drugs i checked against are: - Hydrochlorothiazide, HCTZ - Atenolol - Lisinopril - Losartan - Amlodipine No interactions between Azithromycin and the above blood pressure medications came up. That does not mean there aren't any others, it simply means that nothing came up for the drugs that I chose. If you are taking another specific medication, please let me know. ## Hi Dest, which blood pressure medication are you taking?

I have a 500 mg round white pill called Craztronin Azitromicina. What is it used for? ## These two drugs (Methotrexate, Azithromycin) should be okay to take together as I do not see any interactions listed [1]. But as always, you should double check with your doctor as there may be other precautions for you to follow. ## Craztronin contains the active ingredient: Azithromycin Dihydrate. Azithromycin is used to treat certain infections caused by bacteria, such as bronchitis; pneumonia; sexually transmitted diseases (STD); and infections of the ears, lungs, skin, and throat. Azithromycin is in a class of medications called macrolide antibiotics. It works by stopping the growth of bacteria. I hope this helps! ## Can Craztronin/Azitromicina be taken in conjunction with Methotrexate? ## Can ...

Took bactrim for l-1/2 days. Blood sugar plummetted, severe GI problems, anxiety through the roof! Immediately stopped taking. This was 3 months ago. Side effects continue although slowly improving. Am taking baby steps toward recovering from this awful, poisonous drug. Has anybody else had such a difficult recovery from this? ## It is very unusual for side effects to linger for such a long period of time, especially after taking just a few doses of the medication. There is an article on Medline Plus regarding drug induced low blood sugar, which does list Bactrim as being one of the medications known to cause such an issue. It's other side effects are listed as possibly including nausea, diarrhea, and loss of appetite. That said, I also had a very bad experience with it, but I was o...

I have a terrible cough and sinus problems. I have been wheezing so am on ventolin puffers. I am allergic to penicillin. Can I take craztronin? ## Hello, Leanne! How are you? Azithromycin is an antibiotic, the FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea. You should be able to take it, though there is a risk of your being allergic to other antibiotics, if you're allergic to one. However, this will only help, if your illness is due to a bacterial infection. If it is due to allergies or a cold, it will not help, so you shouldn't take, unless your doctor has prescribed it for you. Is there anything else I can help with? ## My husband is allergic Penicillin, can he take Craztronin?

I had my teeth pulled I'd say about a year ago. Is my teva 3109 still good? I fell in the Shower and knocked out my Front Tooth. I need to take antibiotics. It's the Holiday so the Dentist is not open today. ## Hello, Lynnette! How are you? I'm sorry about happened. However, knocking out a tooth does not necessarily mean that an antibiotic is required. As detailed by the NIH, an antibiotic is only required, in the even of an actual infection, or if there is a very high risk of one occurring, such as with certain types of surgery. Taking an antibiotic, when it is not appropriate could result in your developing antibiotic resistance, and that could create life-threatening problems in the future. It would be best to wait, until you can see your doctor or dentist, so they can pr...

Dark green top and light green bottom capsule, what is it? ## I guess one could say light & dark green top & bottom, or it could be green & teal or blue or turquise--and I swear, perhaps a band of yellow too. Can Betamox 500 assist in treating STI's? I have a fungal infection on my male private part. ## It might, and you should take it if a doctor has instructed you to do so. The NIH lists its typical side effects of Betamox (Amoxicillin) as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash, and diarrhea. ## I've been experiencing vaginal itching and burning, especially drug intercourse. I have been taking Betamox and it hasn't helped. ## Asnath, hopefully your doctor can help you to determine the exact nature of your infection. Amoxicillin (international brand Betamox) is an antibiotic. If your infection is not bacterial I don't know if it would be a proper medicine to take. Could you be dealing with a fungal infection?

Since this is such a wide gap I suggest you call into your vet office and see what they suggest, typically if they have your animal on file they will have a good estimate of what they should have. Best wishes and happy holidays.

Can I take Doxycycline 100 mg tablets if I have a sulfa allergy? ## Hi Carol, according to an article I read from the Mayo Clinic, Doxycycline is not listed as a sulfa drug, so you should be okay to take it as prescribed. I also cross referenced the Wikipedia page on Sulfonamides, and it too did not list Doxycycline. If you have other allergies or sensitivities, I'd just double check the inactive ingredients as well to ensure that there is nothing else in there that could disagree with you. If you can refer to the National Drug Code (NDC) printed on your prescription label it should be pretty easy to find the list of inactive ingredients. I hope this helps and feel free to write back!
