I have been put on this antibiotic for a suspected uti infection. Since taking it I have started to have a light period. This is unusual for me as I take cerezette and haven't had a bleed for years, can this happen? Anyone else had this? I'm worried that something more serious is going on and not a uti. ## Hello, Michelle! How are you? I have a very small hole in my back with little drainage,Dr. Put me on these for 30 days.I also had a piccline for a year with vancomycin, put me on doxycycl but had side effects. I'm hiv positive, but my child tested negative and I was breastfeeding. At the clinic they just gave me nevarapine only. So after 6 moths they gave me bactrim because my baby was experiencing diarrhea, going to the bathroom 6 to 7 times a day. So I just want to know cos I don't breastfeed anymore, can I stop bactrim?
