Antibiotic Education

I have just finished explaining to my 18yr old that if his dosage is every 8 hrs then he needs to take 3 a day, how , he asked , am I supposed to take a dose when I am sleeping ?. Look, there are 24 hrs in a day, there are 3 8s in 24, figure it out son. It has been nearly 50yrs since I have been in school, don't they still get the math problems like we used to ?.

I know what you're saying... and no, it appears that they don't. I was in the store one day picking up some groceries, I'd just handed the cashier the money to pay for them, and the computers went down. As I was standing there waiting for my change, since it was basic subtraction, she told me she had to wait for another girl to be free to figure out my change, since they were no longer taught how to count backwards in school. (My total was $19.77 and I had handed her a $20.) There was an older gentleman in line behind me and we both just looked at each other totally baffled.

The FDA lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, diarrhea, and non-allergic skin rash.

How is he doing on it?
