Anti- Glucation Micronized Purple Rice

This is suppose to be great for cholesterol , high b/p & many other compliants.
Can this really be true?

Hi Mavis,

I believe it can be true. To my knowledge, the purple pigments (as well as other colors) in fresh fruits/veggies/grains/etc are a sign of high antioxidants + polyphenols that are good for heart health, blood, and a host of other bodily functions. Some rice is also higher in magnesium, which can lower blood pressure. So while I may not be able to attest to the claims of "Anti-glycation micronized purple rice", I am aware of the multitude of health benefits contained in nutrient dense foods/superfoods... My go to rice has always been organic "black forbidden rice" sourced from the Himalayan mountain regions, which turns the water purple when you steam it, so I'm naturally interested in learning more about this micronized version you speak of.
