I have just been prescribed AT for my chronic tension type headaches and currently take Cerezzete birth control pill. Does anyone know if the AT counteract the Cerezette? I can't seem to find any info about this on the internet and didn't want to bother my Doctor again.

Have you investigated the fact that your Birth Control Pill might be the cause of your Headaches. Mine did and since going off the Pills my headaches have improved impressively. Try a different one?

The Progestogen in the Cerazette may slightly reduce the effectiveness of the Amitriptyline, while at the same time increasing the possible side effects.

So, it's nothing dangerous and it won't reduce the effectiveness of your contraceptive, but you should be careful about driving or anything, since you may feel more drowsy and dizzy than normally expected.
