Another Option

I couldn't help but notice that no one has mentioned oxycodone. I take 4 40mg daily and it has been effective in treating my back issues. They have enabled me to return to work, which involves a lot of travel and much activity once onsite, and due to this medication my pain no longer dictates my life. There is always the fear of dependence but over the years I have become something of an expert at withdrawal and how to avoid it. When used responsibly this medication is a Godsend. When it is abused it is a curse.

The FDA classifies Oxycodone narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.

Since the 40mg tablets are the time released Oxycontin, most doctors are not going to prescribe 4 of them a day and due to the new DEA regulations it can be hard to find doctors willing to prescribe anything that may be habit forming.
