Is penicillian and bactrium the same type of medication

Hello, Becky! How are you?

They are both antibiotics, as listed by the FDA, but Bactrim is a sulfa based antibiotic.

The typical side effects to those medications may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea.
