Hi. I started Angelique 2 weeks ago. My last period was in Nov 2012. At the moment I am getting terrible headaches, Anxiousness, Heart Palpitations and like period pains by my ovaries. Is this normal? Kind regards Dawn

Hi Dawn,

I've heard that it can take up to three months to really know how if the birth control you are taking is doing its job and working with your body, but everyone is different of course and sometimes you can tell early on. I had a similar experience with birth control, I was on Seasonique and it was working great, then the insurance company decided that they didn't want to cover brand names so I got switched to a generic; without notice. I experienced all the same issues as well as horrible acne within a short period of time. I didn't realize what was going on until it got out of control. I recommend that you speak with your doctor and switch to something else. If your body isn't happy with the Angelique now, who knows if that will change or become worse. I do not mean to scare you, I just hope to save you from any more unnecessary grief!
