Andrx 560 Blue Capsule

My cousin gave me this pill and said it will help me shed a couple of unwanted pounds for my final dress alteration. Is it safe to take? I don't know what it is.

The pill you are describing is Potassium Chloride (10 meq) manufactured by Watson Labs.

Potassium chloride is in the class of drugs called potassium supplements (minerals and electrolytes) that are used to prevent hypokalaemia.

I'm not quite sure about any claims for weight loss effects, but it would safe to assume that just eating some fruit each day (bananas or dates) will provide you with your daily value of potassium and additionally aid in weight loss.

NOTE: Orally supplementing with KCl can be toxic if in excess.
